I stepped off of the bus and onto the campus that could more aptly be called a small town it was so large you could walk for an hour or so to get to the other end. I was completely taken back by the awesomeness of everything the campus had to offer, not to mention I got here which was no small feat considering only five thousand students get a full ride not including sports scholarships.
"It's kinda crazy to think we actually all made it here together." Mathew says smiling from ear to ear. "Maybe for you because you almost didn't pass senior year." Momo says walking ahead of the two of us. "The truth hurts too yaknow." Mathew says sighing heavily. "Jeez you two can't we just take in this great moment together?" I say catching up to Momo. "Well either way we don't have a class together until around noon, so we'll meet then." Momo says waving as she goes to her first class. "Jeez sometimes I really think she doesn't like me at all." Mathew says in a low tone. "You say that all the time but if it were true she wouldn't talk to you." I say as we walk towards our class. "She only does because she's nice, if it weren't for you we wouldn't hang out like ever." Mathew says visibly bothered. "Don't let it get to you Mat it's not like she hates you." I say trying to sound positive. "Yeah I hope so, well I'll see you around noon." Mathew says nodding and walking towards his class.
Honestly I can't say for sure how Momo feels about anything unless it excites her enough, she seems very neutral about everything except anime, books, and action. Whenever the topic of our actual friendship is brought up when Mathew says something like "my best friends." She'll simply go silent. She goes through the trouble of texting me and Mathew in our group chat asking if we want to hang out or come over and watch her new anime she's excited about, so surely she doesn't hate him or me. More than anything that's just an assumption considering she's never actually voiced her opinion or feelings about other people which is why she's never dated or even been on a date, Momo isn't what you would call an introvert either she'll readily offer her opinion or thoughts on a situation.
The first day at my dream school was definitely more basic than I thought it would be, not to say I disliked it I was just expecting a more bedazzling experience. The course I wanted to pursue was environmental science because I felt like it was the closest to what I was interested in and it would enable me to travel to gather information and experience. It was one of the last classes I would have to go to today and by far the class I was most looking forward to. I must have been daydreaming for some reason because when I started to look around the room everyone was looking towards the windows that showed the city scape, being we were on the third floor you could very easily see very far out into the city at least 30 miles from the campus. How did it not immediately catch my attention? As I started out of the enormous windows with everyone else all I could focus on was the gargantuan pillar of bright electric blue light that pierced into the sky. It was so massive it dwarfed the skyscrapers next to it which means it would have to be taller than two hundred and fifty meters or eight hundred feet at least.
It was so bright that the room flowed a bright blue it was so entrancing I didn't notice the dark black cloud at the top of the blue pillar of light, the clouds billowed at the top like a mushroom cloud and they seemed to spread further in every direction as if annexing the surrounding clouds. I quickly snapped out of it grabbed my bag and started to walk towards the door when I heard a boom so loud my ears and all the bones in my body rung a deep bellow. I fell to my knees instantly in so much pain in my bones, I covered my ears and looked towards the window again. Every window in front of us shattered and exploded from the sound inward falling and flying onto those still in front of the windows, I closed my eyes as to not see the effects of that much glass falling onto those nearby. I closed my eyes so tightly it hurt and I pressed my hands even more tightly against my ears not realizing the already ringing sounds in my ear drum. Suddenly as quickly as I had reacted to the glass falling I felt an enormous earthquake as my entire body was violently thrown from solid footing, I could feel myself go airborne as a reaction I flailed around to no avail as I felt my head hit something very hard and my world went black as I lost consciousness.
