He decided to hold the visit to seven deadly sins for some day and test this theory. He was going to focus on Sandile, not on Simisage.
Simisage's ability 'Gluttony' required it to have a pinch berry and he was not so rich to waste a berry right now. He first wanted to test how fast his Pokemon's ability would improve and Sandile's 'Intimidate' was perfect for it.
"Sandile, try to feel your ability, 'Intimidate' and use it on Simisage. I want you to work on it for a week. Take rest whenever you are successful in using it.", said Brine.
An ability like 'Intimidate' at the lowest mastery was even hard to activate. Its effects were also very low. But when the mastery reached a good level, a Pokemon could use it when it wished.
"Sand… Sandile."
When it tried to use the ability, it failed miserably.
"Hey, don't worry. We have just started to train on it. You will get good at it in no time.", encouraged Brine.
Sandile used it again but it failed. Brine was not having a good look now.
'Was that just a dream? I need to be patient and see. Mastering an ability is not an easy job.'
Brine encouraged Sandile to use it again and again. He also made it take rest. Sandile had suffered a lot in the past so it wanted to prove itself. So, it normally over trained its body which was not good. Brine had to make sure that it was doing okay.
After trying to use the move for 30th time, it was finally able to use it.
"Sandile, you did it!!! Haha, that is what I am talking about."
Brine concentrated on its ability training for a week and found out massive improvement. At first, it took 30 tries to use its ability and then the number of tries started to decrease from 30 to 28 to 25 and after a week, Sandile could use it after 10 tries.
This was a massive improvement and now he could believe that the dream was not exactly a dream. He seemed to have some sort of power to manipulate his Pokemon's ability.
Brine also noticed that both of his Pokemons were growing at an exceptional pace.
After a week of training, he was ready to go to seven deadly sins. He was now fully ready.

The day had come and he moved confidently. His Pokemon, even though quite weak now had immense potential. Their base was in the middle of the forest. So, he had to be vigilant.
As he was walking, he could see a young boy with his Pokemon Pikachu fighting against a Geodude and the young boy was losing. He could also see that there was a little girl just behind him clearly afraid.
"Don't worry, little sis. We will get out of here alive.", assured the young boy but even he didn't believe his words.
Seeing a brother and sister pair in such a situation made him think about his own sister. So, he decided to help them.
"Come out, Simisage!!! And use 'Magical leaf'", shouted Brine.
Suddenly, a wave of green glowing and sharp leaves hit Geodude and it was flown away. Seeing that it was facing a stronger Pokemon, Geodude ran away and Brine didn't chase it.
"Are you guys alright?"
"Yes, we are. Thanks for your help."
"It is okay. What are you both doing here in such a dangerous place?", asked Brine.
"I just wanted to catch a Pokemon for my sister. We don't have anyone. We need to survive."
Brine became very emotional after hearing this but he was not in a position to help them.
"Take this 50000 Poke dollars. This is all I can help you right now. You need to train your Pikachu and then try something like this. Okay?"
"Ok, big brother. Thank you."
Brine guided them to the edge of the forest and told them to go.
"You know, I don't see such a scene every day.", came a voice.
Brine immediately turned and called out Sandile too. He didn't know who it was.
He looked around and saw a man in his 40s. The man gave a powerful aura of a trainer. This man didn't look simple and he didn't know if he could survive now.
'At least I saved those 2.', he thought already accepting this fate.
A powerful trainer like this would not come in such a place. He must have hidden agenda and he could tell that the man was not a saint.
"Haha, don't worry. I am not here to kill you. I just find you interesting.", said the man.
"Interesting? Me?"
"Of course, it is rare to see a useless trainer like you helping others when you clearly also need some help."
"Old man. It is not good to say that I am useless when you clearly don't even know me. If I get out of here alive, then I will make sure you take back those words in the future."
"Oh really? Confident, are we? Then let's test you. Come out, Archeops!!!!", shouted the man and a powerful Pokemon came out.

This Pokemon was not ordinary. Brine didn't know what rank this Pokemon was but it was over elemental rank. He had never seen such a powerful Pokemon.
"If both of your Pokemon could land even a single hit on my Archeops, then I will think of leaving you alive. Who knows, I might also take you as my disciple.", said the man.
Brine knew that he could not run away. That Pokemon was powerful and he could already feel an invisible weight on his shoulder from its presence alone. But he didn't want to give up.
He had promised his father that he would fulfill his dream. He would have to try at least.
"Simisage, Sandile, get ready for battle. Simisage, use 'Sunny day' and Sandile, use 'Dig' and go underground."
Both of his Pokemons followed his instructions and used their respective moves. The man looked surprised by seeing the scene.
The battle started. Simisage started to use moves like 'Magical leaf' and 'Seed bomb' but Archeops was dodging all of it like a pro. It was not using any moves, just dogging their attacks with pure speed.
Sandile came out of the ground and tried to hit it but it flew higher and dodged the attacks. After fighting for 5 minutes, his Pokemon were already tired from using all the moves but they could not even hit Archeops a single time.
"Haha, it looks like, you are out of juice. Now, let me do something. Archeops, use 'Whirlwind'"
"Sandile, use 'Sandstorm' and then used 'Sand tomb'. Simisage, come near Sandile and use 'Leaf storm' and protect both of you.", shouted Brine.
The 'Whirlwind' was very powerful. It was like a tornado. Sandile used the move 'Sandstorm' and then used 'Sand tomb' to trap itself and Simisage to protect itself. While Simisage also used 'Leaf storm' to counter the move.
Even with the combined effect of 'Sandstorm' and 'Leaf storm', 'Whirlwind' won very easily.
They were blow away and the only reason they were not seriously hurt was due to being protected from 'Sand tomb'.
His Pokemons could no longer battle now. They were tired and injured. He had to step up and protect them now. He knew that it was stupid. How could he beat this monstrosity when his own Pokemons could not but they were the only family he had except for his sister.
He had already regretted not standing up for his parents. He was not going to do it again.
Seeing that Brine was standing up for his Pokemon, the man was clearly surprised to see his bravery.
"Haha, you cannot even hit my Pokemon. Are you ready to die?"
"Yes, I am but I am not going without a fight.", shouted Brine.
"Don't worry, I am not going to kill such a guy who is filled with potential."
"Do you mean me? Didn't you say that I was weak?"
"Yes, you are weak but you can rise. It is hard to see a young trainer who respects his values and cares for others. Normally, they are very greedy but you are not greedy. You want to become stronger to protect someone you love."
Brine could not understand where this conversation was going.
"Tell me honestly, why did you come here in the forest right now? I want a clear answer. Your life depends on it.", said the man.
Since he might die here, he decided to tell the truth.
"I want to join the seven deadly sins. I heard that they had a base inside the forest."
"Oh, but why would a guy with such a good heart want to join such an evil organization?"
"Because I don't have a choice….."
Brine told his whole story. Where he came from and what happened to him. The death of his parents and his dream and also how he needed to support his sister.
"I am sorry for your parents but life is like that. We cannot control everything. But let me make a better deal for you. You might not have to join that evil organization."
"Deal? What deal?"
"I want you to be my disciple. I will train you to the limit to the best of my ability but you will have to promise me one thing. You will fight in tide battles and save people."
"Old man, I don't know who you are but you look more evil than those criminal organizations."
"Haha, you really think so? You are wrong. My name is Pure Goodman. I am one of the elite 4 members of Unova region."
Multiple things surprised him. First was the name of the old man. Pure Goodman? How can this man be pure? The name sounded more like a mockery to the old man.
Secondly, he was one of the elite 4 members? He knew the names of elite 4 members and there was no Pure Goodman among elite 4 members. This was clearly a trap.
"Old man, I know the name of elite 4 members and Pure Goodman doesn't ring a bell to me. If you want to kill me, then go ahead but you don't have to lie.", said Brine.
"Sigh, young blood are really difficult to handle. The only reason you have not heard of my name is that I have not been officially appointed as an Elite 4 member. That would happen in a few days."
Pure threw a card to him and said, "This is my card. When you receive the news of me, you can call me. But do remember, if you go to seven deadly sins now, I will personally hunt you down.
Think about what I have said to you. I am giving you a chance."
By saying that Pure sat on Archeops and flew away.
'Let's wait for a few days and see. I also want a flying-type Pokemon now.'
Seeing Pure flying made him jealous. He would get there someday.

He had not hoped all of this to be true but after 3 days, he got a new that Pure Goodman had been selected as one of the elite 4 members and he had replaced the old elite 4 member.
"So, all of this was real?"
He immediately looked at the card and called. A young woman's voice came and he told them that Pure Goodman said to meet with him.
"Oh, Mr. Goodman had already about you. A flight is ready for you. You can come here at anytime.", said the young lady giving him all the necessary information.
"Is this a chance for me? Will he change my life? But what does he want from me?"
Brine had a lot of questions as he reached airport. This was his first time seeing a plane. He told his family and sister that he was going on a trip for a few days for some business.
They tried to ask him about it but he didn't say anything. He only told them that he would return in 3 days.
Brine was hopeful for this new beginning.
