Holly looked up from her desk in surprise as the elevator opened and Mr. Li exited his private elevator with Edith. His elevator was direct from the parking garage or the ground floor so that meant either Edith came to work with him or came in with him at the least. She frowned.
"I'll make your coffee and then be into your office," Edith said to James.
Holly watched as James nodded wordlessly and went to his office, closing the door. She jumped up and followed Edith to the break room where she was already preparing his coffee to his preferences which she knew by heart.
"What happened last night?!" Holly cried in a stage whisper.
"Good morning to you, too." Edith replied with a withering stare.
Holly blushed. "Sorry! It's just, you both look like you had a fight. But, how did you come up in his private elevator? No one has access to that. Unless you were with him when you came to work. Did he pick you up for work this morning?" Holly asked excitedly.
Edith set the coffee pot down a bit too forcefully and turned to face Holly.
"Holly, your interest in my private life and that of Mr. Li is inappropriate. You also gave me bad advice about company business dinners and I was scolded last night. Please just stay out of it!" Edith said firmly.
"What happened last night that got you scolded?" Holly cried.
"I dressed in a sexy gown, smiled, laughed, and lightly flirted as you said. Mr. Li took me aside and let me have it. I won't make that mistake again. But he warned me not to take any more of your advice." Edith said matter of factly.
Holly was shocked. Edith was doing what any Secretary or assistant who came before her had done over the years. Why had Mr. Li gotten so angry over it? Could it be he was jealous of other men showing her attention or flirting? Had the heart of the Devil himself thawed?
Suddenly they heard a woman's raised voice. Holly and Edith exchanged looks and rushed toward the sound. Mr. Li's office door was flung open and an older woman was leaning across his desk shouting at him. He stared at her, his face a mask of indifference. Before Edith could stop to think about her actions she rushed forward into his office with his tea, a bright smile on her face and said, "Mr. Li, I'm so sorry to interrupt but your first meeting of the day has been moved up. As soon as you are free we can go over the notes and prep for it."
The angry woman turned her wrath toward Edith.
"Who are you to interrupt me? I am his wife! I have more authority here than you!" The woman scolded.
"Elder sister, even Madame Mao had to go through his Secretary for an audience with her own husband, or access his money. If you want your husband to earn money, then you must let him work." Edith said to her calmly.
"I'm not leaving here until I know why he didn't come home last night!" She demanded.
"Elder sister, the business dinner ran late last night and there was too much alcohol. You know how men can be. They don't hold their alcohol as well as they get older. So Mr. Li didn't want to disturb you by coming home in such a state. He stayed at a hotel last night." Edith answered smoothly.
"Then why didn't the charge show up on the bank card this morning?!" His wife demanded.
"Company expense, so he used company card." Edith again lied flawlessly.
"Hmmmph!" His wife turned on her heel and stormed out of his office, slamming the door in her wake.
Both Edith and James heaved sighs of relief.
"I don't know if I should be grateful you lie so well, or terrified." James told her.
"No need to be terrified. I have no reason to lie to you." She replied simply.
"Well we'd better prepare for that meeting that was moved up then," James said sitting up in his chair.
"Oh that. The only meeting you have right now is with me." Edith said mischievously as she stalked towards him.
"I don't understand," he said, looking up at her as she came behind his desk. She lowered herself down until she straddled his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I had to get her out of here somehow. She was yelling at my man, and I couldn't have that." Edith whispered in his ear.
James trembled.
"Your man. I like the sound of that." James breathed.
"Mmmhmm. You're not under the influence of drugs this morning so you understand what I'm saying, right?" Edith asked.
"Staking your claim to me." He whispered as she loosened his tie and unbuttoned the first few buttons of his shirt. She kissed hungrily at his neck and down to his collarbone. He moaned. His head fell back against his chair and her lips moved to his Adams Apple.
"I'm married, Edith." He said faintly.
Edith pulled his face back down and kissed him. She kissed him with enough fire to burn down a forest. Her tongue swirled around his tongue, dancing with it, possessing him. She broke away and wordlessly fell to the floor in front of him on her knees, unbuckling his pants. She freed his member from its confines and placed feather soft kisses, teasingly. Then she licked the tip, swirling her tongue round and round. She licked up and down the length and plunged it into her mouth. Up and down she slid. He felt like he was going to explode from everything he was feeling: pleasure, excitement, adored, worshipped, overwhelmed, desired—no one had ever done this for him. Certainly not enthusiastically!
"Oh, Edith! I'm yours! I'm yours!" James cried
