The voice sounded like shards of ice floating through the cold winter.
Director Gao's voice abruptly froze, as if it were halted by ice.
Still holding his phone, he stiffly turned around, and when he saw Chairman Bao Jianfeng standing not far behind him, his head buzzed as if hammered.
"Hello? Hello? Director?" The person on the other end hadn't heard him clearly and was still asking, "Which member did you just say you want to expel?"
"Let's talk about this when I get back." Director Gao hung up the phone.
After a brief moment of panic, he regained his composure and, pointing at Luo Qianqian, said to Bao Jianfeng with a smile, "I've learned that this designer's skills originally didn't qualify, yet she successfully passed our association's entry examination...I suspect someone cheated, so I had her expelled for further investigation."
Chairman Bao, who deals with countless affairs every day, would never pay attention to something minor like an entry examination.
