Having taken two more orders for clothes after leaving Cheng An's home, Jiang Mianmian, with seventy yuan in her pocket, went off with great ambition to the next customer.
At the second house they visited, the customer was a woman with somewhat dark skin. Jiang Mianmian made her a dress with sky-blue fabric, which made her complexion appear much whiter when she put it on.
The customer was very satisfied with the clothes made by Jiang Mianmian and chatted warmly with her for quite a while. If Jiang Mianmian hadn't said she was in a hurry to deliver two other garments, the customer would have insisted on keeping them for dinner.
The third customer to order clothes was a petite and sweet young girl. Jiang Mianmian made her a dress with a Japanese flair, which looked incredibly cute on her.
It took them almost an hour to deliver clothes to all four places.
