"Ugh!" The cloaked teen groaned in pain as he held his head, stumbling around slightly as his balance was thrown off.
"Hm?" She made a noise as she definitely noticed her opponent's admittedly stranger, well stranger than his current self's, action. "What's wrong there? Having some trouble?" She asked him.
'Definitely something to do with how he's dressed and been acting throughout the duel. There's no denying that he's being controlled, most likely by Tron if that part of the storyline stays the same.' And seeing as that person is also a part of this tournament, the chances that he's watching this duel right now is high.
'After I managed to play during his turn and break his board, he's been acting with more emotion and is starting to act more like, well, himself.' She thought as she saw her opponent grit his teeth and shake his head, scowl still remaining in his face as he stood up straight.
'So either he's slowly breaking off of Tron's control, or I'm breaking it forcefully.' The thought of trying to employ the power of friendship briefly flashed through her mind, before she threw it away.
'I might know him, from all the stories that I've seen him, but I don't know him.' She sadly thought as she eyed the cloaked teen with pity. 'I doubt that trying to reach out to him would do anything but…'
"That's a bit against the 'spirit' of the game isn't it?" She said to herself with a small smile. With her right hand on the rim of her hat, she stared straight at Shark's deep yet dull blue eyes, meeting it with her own metal grey ones.
"Hey, Duelist S or whatever it is you call yourself." She called out as his dull eyes seemed to focus on her. "If you keep going on like this, then there is no point."
Hearing that seemed to have caught his attention, and seeing so she continued. "I don't fully get what's going on with you right now, but its not really you is it?" She accused, and seeing the shift in his body language, she internally clicked her tongue as her worst prediction came true.
'Well crap. Does that mean that Tron is also behind Anna's disappearance?' Shelving that for later, she continued to speak whatever it is that came to the forefront of her mind. "This dueling style, the tricks that you're playing, they don't feel like it's you."
The accusation made him tremble, the dull eyes that stared back at her getting sharper and sharper, so she kept pushing. "Your spirit, your flow, they're not yours. So tell me." She said as she raised her head ever so slightly, facing him fully while looking down on him.
"Half baked as you are, as a puppet that you are now following in the flow of another, do you really think that you can beat me?"
What she received was silence, as the hood that covered his head completely hid his features as his head hung low.
A second later, that same silence was broken. "Shut up." The teen said, voice laced with anger, monotonous voice completely thrown off and discarded.
"Shut up. Shut up. SHUT UP!" He repeated over and over as he threw his head upwards, grabbing the cloak that he wore and ripped it off of himself, fully showing the signature look that she's known him for, shark teeth necklace and all.
"SHUT UP! Who the heck are you to lecture me!" He roared as his eyes glowed with anger, raw emotions thrown and directed towards her, as his standing opponent.
And she honestly wouldn't have had it any other way.
-
"Hm?" And on a stage farther than the pair who were currently dueling, Tron felt his eye twitch. His control over Kamishiro Ryoga was weakening, as he felt something else fighting against his control.
"Hoho? What is this?" He hummed as he couldn't help but smile.
He still had enough power to watch the duel, if not from Ryoga's perspective, then as an outsider. And maybe influence him by giving him a little nudge here and there.
Perhaps he should thank that mysterious Red hat, for pushing Kamishiro Ryoga this far. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to see what it is that's going to come.
-
"OHO LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! DUELIST S HAS SHED THE DISGUISE THAT HE WORE!" The crowd cheered alongside their famous announcer as the large screens around the stadium showed close up shots of the dark blue haired teenager.
"Wha-! That's SHARK!?" Allen shouted in shock as he almost fell over off of his chair, eyes wide as he saw the identity of Yuuna's opponent be revealed. That same shock was shared by his two friends, who watched the screen that showed the purple jacket wearing teen.
"You know him?" Serena asked as she saw their reactions, and after a moment, the brown haired teen nodded his head.
"Y-yeah! We fought him a while ago and lost but…" He trailed off as he kept his eyes on the screen, showing the glaring Shark that he knows. "I guess I should have known from the cards that he played, but why was he acting strangely earlier?"
"Strangely?" The ponytailed girl narrowed her eyes as she eyed the dark blue haired teen on the screen. "I guess the way he acts seems different now."
"He's… definitely more like himself, his normal self, now at least." Myu gulped as she and Sayaka shared a glance. "But what was that with him earlier then?" With that question remaining unanswered, they watched the duel continue to unfold
-
"Who the hell even are you trying to lecture me! Like you know about me!" The teen shouted through gritted teeth, one hand holding his head, power through the head splitting headache as he tried to make sense of everything that had happened.
No, there isn't even a need to isn't there? He had an opponent, right there, in front of him. And everything would definitely make sense if he just beat them up.
'That's right' A voice whispered in his ear. 'All that you need to care is the opponent right in front of you, and nothing else.'
"Yeah…" He whispered as his eyes sharpened, the fog that seemed to have been clouding him lifting ever so slightly. "I just need to beat the hell out of you."
'And that will give you all that you want' The voice whispered, and his eyes hardened and power surged from within him.
"Then I can get my revenge!" He roared as he arched his back, and shouted to the heavens. And all that he could see was his opponent and nothing else.
'Against all that wronged you.'
"TO IV AND THAT MASKED FREAK!"
-
"Though you're sadly too late for that first one, Kamishiro Ryoga." Tron giggled at the irony of his statement as he let his legs swing back and forth with a large smile. "Now dance, dance until all that you have is spent." He said as he raised his hand, imitating a toast.
"For the sake of your revenge."
-
"I knew it!" She hissed as she heard him mention Tron, though of course not by name. Who else would he be referring as a 'masked freak' other than him. "So you did have an encounter with him!"
"I will activate the Spell, White Mirror!" The dark blue haired teen roared as he played his last unknown card, leaving Armored Xyz as the last card in his hand.
"This card lets me target a Level 4 or lower Fish monster in my graveyard, special summon it, then I can add one monser from my deck with the same original name as that special summoned monster!" Finished with roaring out the Spell card's effect, the jacket wearing teen took out the Spell's target and revealed it to her.
"I will target Buzzsaw Shark in my graveyard!" He said, revealing the monster card that he had just detached from Abyss Splash. "Revive! Buzzsaw Shark!" And with that the buzzsaw finned mechanical fish returned onto the field.
Buzzsaw Shark - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 1600/500
"And I will add another one of it to my hand!" Shark roared, taking a second copy of Buzzsaw Shark to his hand. "And normal summon it!" Then immediately slamming the card into his glowing duel blade as a second buzzsaw finned shark emerged into the field.
Buzzsaw Shark - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 1600/500
"Crap." She couldn't help but mutter with a shaky smile. "That's full combo. Guess I'll have to deal with whatever's coming huh."
"I'll activate Buzzsaw Shark's effect! Targeting itself!" Shark declared, activating the monster's on field effect, and immediately taking out a monster card from his deck. "Appear! Lantern Shark!" And as he placed the card onto his duel blade, a similar metallic shark swam onto the field, lantern like light emitting from its stomach as it let out a roar. And with it's summon, filling his entire board with monsters yet again.
Lantern Shark - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 1500/900
"Four whole monsters." She clicked her tongue. "So it's either Shark Drake and an extra or…"
"I will take the Level 5 Cutter Shark, and the Level 4 Buzzsaw Shark that can be treated as a Level 5, and overlay them!" The dark blue haired teen roared as both monsters let out their respective cries, turning into shining blue pillars of light.
"Darn it it's two more XYZ Monsters!" She hissed as she braced herself. 'And another Rank 5 one at that, what XYZ option does he still even have!'
"I will make the overlay network with these two monsters! XYZ Summon!" Shark roared as both pillars of light entered the giant galactical spiral that appeared right before him, and created an explosion of light.
"Appear, Numbers 94!" And right before him a giant crystal-like monster appeared, and its form changed as limbs began to form from it. "Priestess of the Spirit World with a heart of ice, show that clear and bright soul!"
And as the monster finished taking form, so did Shark's summoning chant. "Princess of Polar Ice - Crystal Zero!" And that monster's form was one with a giant armoured skirt made of ice and crystals, long legs standing atop of ice-like heels that pierced the ground below, purple crystals decorating all across its body as the numeral 94 shone on them.
Number 94: Crystalzero - Water/Warrior/XYZ/Rank 5/Effect: 2200/1600 OV: 2
"94 huh. So it was another Number." She clicked her tongue at the monster's appearance. Yet another monster that she'll have to out through a way that isn't battle then. That should be easy enough, she could get removal next turn no problem.
"And I will activate its effect!" The dark blue haired teen roared as he swiped his hand to the side. "During either player's turn, I can detach a material from Crystalzero, to target a monster on the field and halve its attack until the end of my turn!"
Done with explaining its effect, the shark teemed duelist threw his hand forwards and pointed towards the giant castle-like monster that loomed behind her. "I will target Utgarda! And halve its attack!"
Saying so the giant ballerina-like monster twirled atop of its ice heel, absorbing one of the two shining blue overlay units that orbited around it as it activated its effect.
Number 94: Crystalzero - Water/Warrior/XYZ/Rank 5/Effect: 2200/1600 OV: 1
And then shot a wave of cold chilling air towards her monster. As the effect took hold. she could see frost and shards of ice began to grow on the gigantic floating castle that her monster consisted of.
Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 1100/2700
"But I'm not done!" Shark began as crimson energy began to envelop his body, and alarm bells rang wildly in her head. "I'M NOWHERE NEAR DONE!" He roared towards the heavens themselves as he exploded with crimson energy, making her stumble and place both of her hands in front of her to defend from the sudden outburst of energy that her opponent let out.
"T-this is-!"
"I will take the Level 4 Buzzsaw Shark, and the Level 4 Lantern Shark and overlay them both!" But he wasn't finished, as the purple jacket wearing duelist threw his arm upwards yet again, and both mechanical sharks transformed into shining pillars of light that danced across the sky.
"Another one!" She hissed. 'And with it being both Buzzsaw and Lantern Shark they can be any Rank 3, 4 or 5!'
And right before her opponent, the ever expanding galactical vortex appeared yet again. "I'll make the overlay network again with these monsters!" Into which the two shining pillars of light entered, and created a chaotic explosion of light. "XYZ Summon!"
And the monster that appeared from the vortex of black and gold was a monster like no other, and the beginning of the chant already told her so. "Appear, Numbers 103!" He shouted as the monster's form began to coalesce, and the beginning of the chant itself made her eyes go wide.
"What!?"
"The infinite power that can freeze time! Descend onto the field!" Shining brightly with blinding light, the monster took form as it danced on the field, holding in its hands a pair of dual sided blades as frost and ice filled the field. "Sub-Zero Maiden - Ragnazero!"
The monster stopped its dance as a cold wind filled the space that they inhabited, a chill going through her back as she let out a breath, and a small fog escaped her lips. "This is… definitely something isn't it?" She said warily as she eyed the blade wielding monster, with two shining blue overlay materials orbiting the monster.
Number 103: Ragnazero - Water/Fairy/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2400/1200 OV: 2
"Seriously, Ragnazero? No more importantly-" She hissed as she could feel a headache coming as she saw the monster that manifested on Shark's field, well aware of the implications that it brought along with it.
"Over Hundred Numbers? You just keep coming up with new things don't you." She grimaced. 'I don't know why he'd have a card that's supposed to be… his sister's, but if he has it, then does that mean that he has the others too? The rest of the Over Hundreds?'
And even if he did, what would that even entail?
-
And somewhere far from the watchful eye of the audience, a fancily dressed blonde boy leapt from his impromptu seat as his eyes went wide, the crimson lens of his mask glowing with power as he held it in his hand.
"W-what is this?!" Tron gasped as he swayed in place, his lips quivering as a multitude of emotions flashed through him,his mind whirling with thoughts and ideas at the instance that he had just watched through his ability.
"This is-this is!" He began as he steadied himself, before his body began to tremble as he hung his head down. And then threw his head back with a manic laugh. "So this is the power that you have hidden within you Kamishiro Ryoga!"
-
"1-103!? I thought there were only 100 of those!" Allen shouted as his head snapped back and forth from his friends and to the screen showing the frozen monster that was shown, ignoring the wild cheer of the other audience at the constant back and forth that was happening in the duel.
"W-what does this mean?" Sayaka nervously asked as she turned towards Myu and Allen, who seemed to share the feelings that she was showing.
Unlike the scared and panicked trio however, both purple and indigo haired girls who were not in the loop shared a glance to one another. "I'm guessing that this is a bad thing?" Mei asked. She knew that there was something behind these Number Cards, but they didn't know why Allen, Myu and Sayaka were panicking.
"I don't know… Yuuna said that there were only 100 of those cards but…" The silver haired twin tailed girl said as she shook her head. "But whatever it is, I don't like it. I don't like it at all."
-
"I will activate Ragnazero's effect!" Shark immediately roared, waving his hand forwards as he activated his monster's effect. "Once per turn, during either player's turn, I can detach one XYZ Material from this card, then target one face-up monster that you control whose current attack is different from its original attack, destroy it, then if I do, draw a card!"
"So paired with Crystalzero it's just a Quick Effect removal then." She clicked her tongue in annoyance. "And one that draws you a card too."
"I will target that annoying Utgarda of yours, and destroy it!" He roared as the twin blades in Ragnazero's hands were spun, slicing one of the two overlay units that the ice covered monster possessed as blue energy seeped into its crystal-like blades,
Number 103: Ragnazero - Water/Fairy/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2400/1200 OV: 1
The monster flew into the air with its wings of ice, swinging its dual blades forwards and shooting frozen slashes towards the weakened gigantic castle, decimating it and leaving a frozen crater behind.
"Tch. Again huh." She grimaced as the monster was destroyed yet again. 'There goes an early Rank 9 to clear the board early.'
"And I will draw one card!" The dark blue haired teen roared as crimson energy still seeping through his body, giving the card a glance as his angry look never left his face. "I will set two cards face-down, and end my turn!" He shouted, slapping both cards that remained in his hand onto his field, briefly appearing before him before disappearing.
"And at the end of the turn, Cutter Shark's effect will resolve. And I will add back a copy of Buzzsaw Shark from my graveyard to my hand!" He shouted on, resolving the effect of Cutter Shark that he had activated at the start of the turn and reading one of the monsters that he had detached as material.
Finishing off with his ensemble of XYZ Monsters, two set cards with one of them being a bluff that was the Armored Xyz that he had added all that time ago, and follow-up in the form of Buzzsaw Shark. All while managing to pick apart her board as well.
"Honestly. You're certainly something." She couldn't help but say to her ever scowling opponent. "You broke the board that I painstakingly put on, but I guess that's to be expected of you isn't it?"
'If I don't draw a name or a Level 9 monster, I'm pretty much toast.' She thought to herself as she glanced to her deck case. 'But even if that isn't the case, then this card that I drew before that could still be used.'
"Then its my turn, I draw!" She shouted as she began her turn, drawing a card from the top of her deck and giving it a glance. 'Its a starter but…' A glance towards her opponent's field and the three XYZ Monsters that he had, along with the possible set card that he had set clearly told her that this alone wasn't enough.
'But then again, the deck that I built isn't a normal Generaider deck is it?' She thought with a small smile. "Who would have thought that this is going to come in handy huh?"
Seemingly hearing what she had said, the dark blue haired teen shouted towards her. "If you can't do anything then give up already! There's nothing that you can do to defeat me!" He roared as the three monsters in his field all gave their respective cries, holding their weapons at the ready for whatever she had in spade.
"Hey now, a girl needs time to think you know." She huffed, taking the card that she had drawn for the turn and revealing it. "Fine then. I will normal summon Diviner of the Herald!" She said as she placed the card onto her duel disk, and the rainbow-winged fairy appeared onto her field, overshadowed by the gigantic dinosaur at her side.
Diviner of the Herald - Light/Fairy/Level 2/Effect: 500/300
"And I will activate her effect." She spoke out, waving her hand forwards to the white garbed fairy. "If this card is normal or special summoned, I can send one Fairy monster from my deck or Extra Deck to the graveyard, and if I do, increase this card's Level by that monster's Level until the end of this turn."
With the effect explanation finished, she revealed the monster card that she would be sending for Diviner's effect. "I will send the Level 9 Trias Hierarchia from my deck to the graveyard, and increase Diviner's Level by 9."
The rainbow-winged fairy raised her hand high as light enveloped her body, a gigantic ghostly figure of a six winged angel briefly shadowing her before as her Level rose drastically.
Diviner of the Herald - Light/Fairy/Level 11/Effect: 500/300
Seeing that, the dark blue haired teen narrowed his eyes. "A Level 11? Why would you-"
"Ah, I'm not finished of course." She said with a wave of her finger, seeing as her opponent had opted to not use Crsytalzero's effect just yet to remove either of her remaining monsters, she waved her hand to the side.
"I will activate Trias Hierarchia's effect." She declared on a new chain, waving her hand outwards and cutting off her opponent. "During the Main Phase, if this card is in my hand or graveyard, as a Quick Effect I can tribute up to 3 Fairy monsters; and special summon this card and apply effect depending on the number of tributed monsters, but it is banished when it leaves the field!"
"Tch. So another way to get a Level 9 monster on the board then." Her opponent's face twitched in what seemed to be annoyance, the ever present scowl on his face going deeper as irritation became clear in his tone of voice.
"I will tribute Diviner of the Herald and Vala for Trias Hierarchia's cost." She said as the rainbow winged fairy, clasped her hands and closed her eyes, turning into shining motes of light as she disappeared from the field, and the remaining crimson robed fairy raised her staff as both she and the visible body of the giant serpent that she rode disappeared together..
"What?" Her opponent narrowed his eyes as he saw her tribute both of her monsters, especially when tributing one of them would have allowed her the chance to overlay both Level 9 monsters into a Rank 9. "What are you planning?"
"Then I will special summon Trias Hierarchia in defence position." She said as she placed the monster card onto the field, and the giant six winged angel descended onto the field with while raising her staff, holy light shining as the gigantic monster appeared onto the field.
Trias Hierarchia - Light/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 1900/2900
"As I tributed two monster, in addition to being special summoned, I can destroy one monster that you control." She said with a small visible grin that grew wider as she saw her opponent's eyes go wide.
She threw her hand forwards and pointed towards one of the two set cards that her opponent had. "I will target your leftmost set card, and destroy it!" With her command, the white winged angel raised her staff, shooting a beam of light towards one of his backrow and destroying it.
A peek into his graveyard had her grimace. "Ah, darn. A miss." She muttered as she saw that she had destroyed the dummy Armored Xyz instead of whatever it is that he had set instead, but thankfully she was nowhere near finished with her turn.
"Are you finished?" Her opponent said with a grimace, to which she gave a answer with a full blown smile.
"Oh not quite, because I will activate the graveyard effect of Diviner of the Herald!" She shouted, punching forward as she began to explain the card's effect. "If this card is tributed, I can special summon one Level 2 or lower Fairy monster from my hand or deck, except 'Diviner of the Herald'!"
With that said, she proceeded to take another card from her deck to reveal to her opponent, the one and only soft garnet that she had decided to play in lieu of better choices. "Appear! Valkyrie Sechste!"
And appearing beside the gigantic six winged angel was a young girl and her equine companion, both monster appearing onto the field side by side as the young warrior brandished her short sword towards the giant XYZ Monsters on her opponent's field, intending to defend her as she was summoned in defence position.
Valkyrie Sechste - Light/Fairy/Level 1/Effect: 0/2000
"And then Sechste's effect activates." She said with a snap of her fingers as soon as the monster hit the field. "If this card is special summoned, I can special summon 1 'Valkyrie' monster from my deck except another copy of herself"
Seeing as her opponent allowed the effect to resolve yet again, she proceeded to take out the other soft garnet that she had decided to play in her deck. "Descend! Valkyrie Sigrun!" And placing the card onto her duel disk, the armored valkyrie galloped on its steed into the field from the heavens, shining lance in hand as the warrior of valhalla appeared onto the field.
Valkyrie Sigrun - Light/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 2200/2400
"two Level 9 monsters!" He hissed, hissed at Sigrun's appearance, no doubt knowing of what was next to come.
"Yeah, these two cards aren't really that great really. But I couldn't sit still having a Diviner without a target. And with how… relatively consistent my deck is lets say, I don't mind adding two additional bricks to make Diviner an instant Rank 9."
'Ignoring the fact that I managed to draw them a couple of times during the preliminaries, and sure Sigrun has her own effect to summon herself if I want to send Boss Stage, but that's not the point., but at least I didn't draw them here when it's actually important!' She thought before frowning.
'No wait, those preliminary rounds were also important. Ugh I can already feel the whole argument of putting more bricks to increase your deck's ceiling popping up again in my head…'
Shark gritted his teeth as he saw his opponent going into silence once more, before deciding to play his hand. "Fine then! In that case I will use the effect of Crsytalzero!" He roared out. "I will target that new monster of yours, and halve its attack!"
The ice and crystal armoured XYZ Monster danced atop of its long piercing heels, twirling as it absorbed its last overlay material that it possessed as it moved according to its master's wishes.
Number 94: Crystalzero - Water/Warrior/XYZ/Rank 5/Effect: 2200/1600 OV: 0
And then shot forward a chill of frost towards the proud valkyrie, the warrior and its steed both letting out a cry and a neigh respectively as ice and frost began to form around them as their attack points was halved.
Valkyrie Sigrun - Light/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 1100/2400
"Ah, here it is." She muttered as she held her cap and pulled it down, making sure to hide the small grin that was no doubt forming.
"And then I'll use Ragnazero's effect! I'll destroy that monster of yours and draw a card!" Shark roared again, and the twin bladed over hundred monster spun its blades as frost emerged around it after absorbing its last overlay material.
Number 103: Ragnazero - Water/Fairy/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2400/1200 OV: 0
As it finished charging up its attack, Ragnazero's effect resolved and shot forth blades of ice that pierced the horse riding valkyrie, Sigrun giving out a final cry as she and her mount was reduced into shining motes of light and a blast of air that almost took of her hat.
"And then I draw!" He shouted as his scowl morphed into a malicious grin as he watched her monster be destroyed. "Now you can't make any more XYZ Monsters! It's over for you!" He shouted, as if assured of his victory.
"Are you finished?" She threw back the words that he had said to her, making him stop in his early celebration. "I'll be honest, it would have been more troublesome if you had shot Trias instead, but you've played into my hand Shark."
"What?"
"Didn't you wonder why I decided to destroy one of your set cards instead of destroying either of Cyrstalzero or Ragnazero? The answer is simple of course." She said as she wagged a finger at him, before raising the hand to point upwards.
"I wanted you to use their effects! I will activate the effect of Generaider Boss Stage!" She shouted, and the giant symbol that hung above their heads shone brightly for a third time this duel.
"That's?!" He gasped as his eyes widened, finally caught up in what she had planned. "So you wanted me to trigger your Field Spell's effect!?"
"Drawing does count as adding a card from your deck after all." She said with a wink, though that was hidden by the shade of her signature hat. "And with its effect, I will special summon Mardel, Generaider Boss of Light!"
The giant Generaider symbol floating above the field shone down a beam of golden light before her, and from it grew a flower bud that grew larger and larger, eventually taking the form of a green giantess with butterfly wings and a dress made of flowers, shining onto the field with radiant light.
Mardel, Generaider Boss of Light - Light/Plant/Level 9/Effect: 2400/2400
"Sadly the token generation effect can only be activated during your turn, not that I really wanted to use it anyway." She said with a shrug. 'Not that I'd want to do so of course. Don't want to fill the field with tokens that I can't even use right now,'
"And now for the highlight." She muttered as she snapped her hand forwards again. "Mardel's effect! If she's special summoned, I can add one 'Generaider' card from my deck to my hand!"
Watching as her opponent kept scowling but chained nothing to the monster's effect, Mardel's effect resolved as she shone while spreading her arms outwards, effect resolving. "I will add the Spell, Generaider Boss Quest from my deck to my hand."
She had no intention of using it of course. "Now I'll activate the effect of Vala in my graveyard!" She shouted as she took the card out of her grave one more time. "If this card is in my hand or graveyard, I can send one other 'Generaider' card from my hand to the graveyard, to special summon it, but banish it when it leaves the field!"
Saying so, she showed the card that she had just added to her hand. "I will the Generaider Boss Quest that I just added, to summon back Vala onto the field!" Placing the monster card back onto the field, the crimson robed fairy that rode upon an endless grey serpent returned onto the field.
Vala, Seidhr of the Genereider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 2500/2500
"Then her effect activates." She waved forward towards Vala. "I will special summon one 'Generaider' monster from my hand or graveyard to my field except another Vala. Not that I can't have two copies of her since I can only control one of each Generaider Bosses."
With a wave of the crimson robed fairy's staff, she declared her target. "Return! Harr!" Light shone down from the giant symbol hanging above the void of space that they were in, and came forth the storm cloaked Generaider Boss, giant staff raised and prepared for battle.
Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms - Dark/Spellcaster/Level 9/Effect: 3000/3000
"4 Level 9 monsters!" Her opponent hissed as she saw a bead of sweat seem to fall from his head, before he shook his head and exclaimed. "But no matter what XYZ Monster you make, you won't be able to get rid of all of my Numbers Monsters!"
As if agreeing with their master's declaration, the three monsters let out their respective cries, a challenge that she took wholeheartedly.
"Let's see about that shall we? I will take both the Level 9 Trias Hierarchia and Mardel, Generaider Boss of Light, and overlay them!" She shouted as both the six winged angel and the butterfly winged Generaider Boss both turned into shining pillars of light, and for the first time of the duel, a galactical vortex appeared in front of her.
"With these two monsters, I will construct the overlay network!" She chanted and raised her right hand as the two pillars of light danced around one another, before falling into the black and golden vortex to create a blinding explosion.
"XYZ Summon!" Finishing the chant by bringing her raised hand down, she finally performed her first XYZ Summon of the duel. "Appear! Flames of the end! Laevatein, Generaider Boss of Shadows!"
And her monster appeared with a wave of heat that melted the frost around the floating asteroid that they were on. A sword of flames raised by a maddened fairy as the corrupted monster grinned facing the monsters on her opponent's field while two crimson orbs orbited around it's body.
Laevatein, Generaider Boss of Shadows - Fire/Fairy/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 2500/2500
"A Rank 9 XYZ Monster!" Shark gritted his teeth upon seeing her monster, before shaking his head and shouting back. "But do you seriously think that a monster like that can defeat my Numbers!"
"Oh yes. Very confident in fact." She answered back easily, making her opponent stumble slightly at her confident remark.
"While Laevatein is on the field, monsters that you control lose both 1000 attack and defence." And with a wave of its flaming blade, the monstrous fairy dispelled the chilling air that both ice themed Number monsters had brought onto the field, all three XYZ Monsters on Shark's field letting out grunts as both their offensive and defensive capabilities were reduced.
Number 73: Abyss Splash - Water/XYZ/ Warrior/Rank 5/Effect: 3800/400 OV: 0
Number 94: Crystalzero - Water/Warrior/XYZ/Rank 5/Effect: 1200/600 OV: 0
Number 103: Ragnazero - Water/Fairy/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 1400/200 OV: 0
"Battle." She proclaimed, and pointed towards the weakest monster that her opponent had. "I will attack Crystalzero with Laevatein."
The maddened XYZ Monster let out a distorted cry as it raised its flaming sword, flames gathering around it as a crimson glow emanated from the entire monster.
"Idiot! No matter what you do, your monsters can't destroy my Numbers Monster by battle!" Her opponent shouted back as the crystal armoured XYZ Monster prepared to defend itself.
"Ugh do I have to say it?" She groaned as she felt her shoulder slump. "But you still take the damage something or other! Just hurry up and resolve the Damage Step already!" Shouting back, Laevatein brought its blade down, sending a wave of flame towards the frozen XYZ Monster that withstood the attack.
Her summoner however, was a different case.
"Gugh!" Shark grunted as he grit his teeth. The crimson energy that surrounded him wavering as he held steadfast against the wave of heat that struck him. His duel disk chiming as his Life Points was lost from the resulting battle.
Duelist S: 2700LP
"Next." She drawled out as she waved her hand to the side "I'll attack Crystalzero with Vala." And the serpent riding fairy was up next, silver staff shining as she manifested a ball of flame that shot towards the ice heeled monster.
Yet again, the Numbers Rule held steadfast. As Vala was not a Numbers Monster, Crystalzero remained strong as it took the attack head on.
Shark, however, was thrown back by the resulting blast. "Guaaagh!" He cried out as he was lifted off of his feet and thrown onto the ground, groaning and sending her a glare filled with malice as the crimson aura that he was enveloped in spiked in intensity.
Duelist S: 1400LP
"Now to finish this before it gets worse " She said and snapped her fingers. "Harr! Attack Crystalzero!" With the order given, the storm clad Generaider thumped the butt of its staff into the ground, black clouds forming and surrounding the target of its attack.
As it was about to strike however, her opponent snapped back as he managed to stand back up. "As if I'll let you!" He roared as he threw his arm upwards. "I'll activate the Trap, Poseidon Wave!"
With that said, the single set card that he had remaining was flipped face-up, and she was met with the card's holographic projection shining brightly behind Shark's weakened monsters.
"When an opponent's monster declares an attack, I can target the attacking monster and negate the attack! Then I deal 800 damage for each Fish, Sea-Serpent or Aqua-Type monster that I control!" Shark explained the card's effect, breathing heavily even as he kept his defiant glare.
"That's!" She gasped as she saw the card and its projected art shone right in front of her opponent. 'If I negate it with Harr, the only things I could tribute for it is Vaa and Laevatein, which is bad. It'll return the XYZ Monsters attack back and I won't be able to finish him off this turn.'
"Frustrating. Incredibly so." She clicked her tongue as her plan to finish her opponent of this very turn was thwarted by a simple attack negate, a loss of a coin flip on Trias Hierarchia's effect snowballing to a failed OTK.
A wave of water flooded the field through the field, coming straight out of Shark's Trap card. The wave of water hitting the black and gold clad Harr, disrupting the monster's chant as it halted its attack.
"Then since I have Abyss Splash, I deal 800 points of damage!" Shark added on as a bolt of lighting flew from his flipped Trap card and struck her, making her wince and stumble back ever so slightly.
"Owch." She blandly spoke as her duel disk chimed just like Shark's did, her Life Points lowering from the Trap card's added burn effect.
Red Hat: 3200LP
"That's incredibly annoying. Ugh and I could have finished it then and there too." She grumbled annoyingly as she dusted off her jacket to shake off the dust that the projected bolt of lightning had thrown off the ground.
"Fine then, if I can't beat you this turn then I'll just have to pick apart your board again then." With that said, she stared straight at her opponent who was breathing hard, and waved her hand forward.
"I will activate Laevatein's effect." She declared as the flame sword wielding XYZ Monster sunked his blade into the ground. "As a Quick Effect, I can tribute this XYZ Summoned card, to special summon one non-Fairy 'Generaider' XYZ Monster from my Extra Deck."
The mad and corrupted fairy began to let out a maddened cackle, spreading both of his arms wide as he arched his back and laughed maniacally before dispersing into shining particles of light. Tributing itself to activate its own effect.
"Heh. Since your XYZ Monster left the field then my monsters attack returns to normal!" Her opponent smugly declared as the circle of flames that had weakened his XYZ Monsters faded, allowing them all to return their strength.

"Yeah well that won't stay for long." She muttered as she took out a card from her Extra Deck as Laevatein's effect resolved. "I will special summon Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity!"
Placing the monster card onto her shining duel blade, Laevatein's dispersed remains coalesced and began to take form once more. Becoming larger and larger, longer and longer, until the gigantic serpent that seemed to stretch to eternity, wrapping the entirety of the floating asteroid that they both stood on with its long serpentine body.
Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: ?/? OV: 0
"Another Rank 9!" Shark hissed, before his eyes narrowed as he seemed to spot something. "What are you planning with a monster like that?" He spoke warily, most likely noting the monster's non existent stat and overlay units.
Well no use in making him wait too long. "Because as it's summoned with Laevatein's effect, I can attach cards from either field or graveyard into Jormungandr as material up to the number of materials that Laevatein had." She continued on with Laevatein's effect, and saw his eyes went wide.
"What!?" He hissed, head immediately snapping towards the cards that remained in his field.
"Laevatein had two XYZ Materials, so I get to attach two cards." She spoke as she raised two fingers with a hand. And then lowered those fingers to point towards two of her opponent's monsters. "My choice is Abyss Splash and Ragnazero."
The enormously gigantic serpent opened its large maw as it seemed to suck the very fabric of the world itself, both the golden trident wielding warrior and the crystal ice covered monster attempted to hold themselves in place, but to no avail.
Both were taken off their feet as they both were sucked into the gigantic maw of Jormungandr, the grey scaled serpent seemingly gulping them down as they turned into dull brown overlay materials that orbited the giant monster's body.
Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: ?/? OV: 2
"Jormungandr original attack becomes 1000 attack and defence for each material that it possessed." She said as the monster let out a rumble, as it now possessed overlay units, its attack and defence points finally took form.
Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 2000/2000 OV: 2
She remained standing to watch Shark grind his teeth with the singular XYZ Monster on his field, Crystalzero. She could have taken it instead of Ragnazero, but she still does want to deal a bit more damage, even if it won't be game.
"I will activate Jormungander's effect." she said with a snap of her fingers. "As a Quick Effect, I can detach one material from this card, and have each player draw one card, then each player that drew attaches one card from their hand or field to this card."
The gigantic serpent opened its gigantic maw yet again before it chomped into one of its two overlay units. Absorbing the overlay material that she had stolen from her opponent to use its own effect.
Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 1000/1000 OV: 1
"Let's both draw a card shall we?" She said as she gestured towards her opponent, who continued to scowl and reluctantly did so, with her following suit to get back to two cards in hand. 'Ah great, not something that would even let this Kuji-Kiri Curse that has been rotting in my hand be used.'
Shaking the thought off of her head, she continued to resolve Jormungandr's effect. "Then we both attach a card from either our hand or field as material to Jormungandr." And she gestured towards the monster that was essentially rotting on her field. "I will attach Valkyrie Sechste from my field onto it as material."
"Tch. I will attach Left-Hand Shark into that damned monster of yours as material." He grumbly spoke as he threw the card her way, the card turning into a brownish orb as it then circled the gigantic serpent, with the same thing happening with the young female warrior and her equine companion from her side of the field.
Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 3000/3000 OV: 3
'So I'll only get to get him down to 600 Life Points huh, well that's not bad at least.' She waved her hand forwards as she spoke yet again. "Then as you added a card from your deck to your hand yet again, I get to activate Harr's effect. Allowing me to make you either send a monster from your hand or field to the graveyard."
"Tch!" Her opponent grit his teeth even harder with his scowl, hands twitching in anger as he took the singular card that he still had in his hand. "Fine! I'll send Buzzsaw Shark to the graveyard!"
And as he could only send either the monster that she knew he had in his hand or the singular monster on his field, Shark had no choice but to sacrifice his follow-up to remain in the duel. As if he chose to send Crystalzero, then she would end the game with her remaining monster.
'Though at this point, he'd need a really good draw to turn this all back somehow.' She thought as she then waved her hand yet again. "Now then, since we're still in the Battle Phase, I'll attack with Jormungandr."
The enormous world serpent let out a space rending roar, raising its gigantic body to tower over the crystal armoured XYZ Monster and then slamming itself down onto it. And as it was a Number Monster, Crystalzero managed to remain standing, even if it was extremely battered after the many attacks that it had endured.
Its summoner was a different story however. "GUAAAGH!" The dark blue haired teen screamed as he was thrown yet again, thumping onto the ground and bouncing slightly as he skidded to a stop. Groaning in pain as he raised his head ever so slightly to glare at her with clear murderous intention. Crimson aura still cloaking his entire body.
Duelist S: 600LP
"Now then, what to do." She mumbled as she tried to assess the board again after moving off from the Battle Phase. 'I can try and remove Crystalzero if I make Enterblathnir, but then I would lose Harr that I could keep for the next turn. I could always get it back, but then that'll be one less point of interaction that I could possibly have. It's out of material anyway, there isn't much use for it.'
At that thought she stopped, briefly pressing her duel disk's screen as she perused the graveyard. '-5, 6, there's still a whole lot of Extra Deck space that he possibly has. I remember Allen saying he has Leviathan, Hope Woven and both Shark Drakes, so that still leaves 5 Extra Deck slots.'
A frown made its way onto her features as she lightly shook her head. 'No, there isn't really a use in trying to predict the Extra Deck of what's basically an 'anime' character, especially as they seem to be able to form cards out of the ether.'
And that's not even mentioning the relatively 'modern' cards that he seemed to have. The best move that she could choose right now is most likely-"Just passing then, huh." She muttered to herself with a small sigh, quite disappointed that she managed to fail the otk.
Still, even after all of that she couldn't help but smile. "This is a good warm up though. If every duel in the finals is like this then I might actually lose at the next one." Chuckling, she gestured to her opponent as she said, "Turn end. Your move."
And saying so she ended her turn, finishing off her turn with her Field Spell activate on the field, an XYZ Monster, along with two of her deck's notable monsters on the board, two cards in her hand that she couldn't exactly use at her current situation.
Yet in spite of the turn control returning to him, her opponent's head hung low. With his eyes shadowed by his dark blue bangs, Shark began to mutter while his body trembled. "Warm up? You-you really think that-that-!"
The fading crimson aura that surrounded his body spiked, exploding in concentration as he threw his head upwards, his battered and dirtied jacket flapping behind him as his voice filled the empty space all around them. "You! YOU! I WON'T LET YOU WIN!"
"Ah crap." She couldn't help but say aloud. "I guess I flipped a flag there. Me and my big mouth."
"I DRAAAW!" He gave a long rage filled roar as he drew the card at the top of his deck, returning to a single card in his hand.
Well she'll have to burst his bubble then, try and rip the wind out of his sail. "On your Draw Phase, the effect of Boss Stage activates." She waved her hand forwards as she spoke. "Since you drew, I will special summon a 'Generaider' Monster from my deck in defence position."
The symbol hanging above their head glowed with energy once again, and as the Field Spell's effect resolved, she took out a monster card from her deck and placed it onto her duel blade. "Appear, Loptr, Shadow of the Generaider Bosses."
And right beside the gigantic god-like monsters that were on her field, a white robed blonde human-like fairy manifested from the giant beam of light that the giant symbol rained down onto the field. The monster held a cryptic smile towards her opponent as it performed a bow.
Loptr, Shadow of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500
"While Loptr is on the field, all 'Generaider' Monsters that i control gain 1000 attack and defence during your turn." She spoke out as she waved her hand to the side, energy seemingly radiating from her monsters as Loptr raised both of his hands to the giant symbol that hung above.
Vala, Seidhr of the Genereider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 3500/3500
Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms - Dark/Spellcaster/Level 9/Effect: 4000/4000

Loptr, Shadow of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 2500/2500
"A good thing that I got rid of Ragnazero early, this would have been hell to have when that monster's out." She chuckled as she shook her head, waving her hand yet again as she declared, "And then Generaider Boss Stage's other effect, summoning a single Generaider Token onto the field."
And as the game hasn't yet have the Extra Monster zone for her to place Jormungandr on, the Field Spell's token generating effect only managed to create a single white floating fairy monster.
Generaider Token - Fairy/Light/Level 4/Normal: 1500/1500
Which was then empowered by the presence of Loptr on her side of the field.
Generaider Token - Fairy/Light/Level 4/Normal: 2500/2500
"Tch! So you have more monsters, so what!" Shark roared back while barring his teeth as she finally finished the chain of effects at his Draw Phase.
But she wasn't yet finished yet. Rude as it is, she needed to win, and if she wants to, not letting him play at all is the best way to do so. "It means quite a bit actually. In the Standby Phase, I'll activate the effect of Jormungandr, using a material to have both of us draw one card and attach a card to it as material."
As its name was called, the giant eternal serpent let out its magnificent roar, opening its gigantic toothy maw to clomp at one of the three XYZ Materials that it possessed, she made sure that she used the Valkyrie monster that she had attached to it just in case he has one of his revival cards in hand and the other card that he had in his graveyard.
Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 3000/3000 OV: 2
The effect soon resolved without any problems, and both of them drew a card before deciding what to attach to it. It's been rotting in her hand for a while so might as well. "Well I'll attach Kuji-Kiri Curse from my hand onto Jormungandr as material."
"...I'll attach Xyz Remora from my hand." The bruised teen standing before her said in a low tone as he kept glaring at her, sending one of the two cards that he had in his hand to the giant XYZ Monster on her field and empowered it even more.
Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 5000/5000 OV: 4
"Then as you added a card from your deck outside of the Draw Phase, Harr's effect triggers." She said with snap of her fingers, as she then pointed towards her opponent. "So you'll have to send a monster from either your hand or field to the grave."
The giant monster adorned in gold and black raised its hand and channeled lighting in his hand, moving its hand down and striking her opponent as its effect then resolved.
"Tch! So annoying! Fine! I'll send Crystalzero to the graveyard!" Shark shouted again as he made his choice, the giant lightning that Harr sent striking down the crystal armoured XYZ Monster who let out a pained cry as she was reduced to shining motes of light.
"Are you finally done!?" He cried aloud with a clear annoyed look on his face, and she nodded her head.
"Yes. Do, go ahead." With a gesture towards him, the dark blue haired teen let out a cry.
"FINALLY!" He roared. "I will activate the effect of Right-Hand Shark in my graveyard!" He declared, waving his hand outwards as he activated the monster's graveyard effect.
"If this card is in my graveyard and I control no monsters, I can special summon this card but banish it when it leaves the field!" He shouted, no doubt intending to use thay monster to perform yet another XYZ Summon.
"Then in response I will use Harr's effect." She countered. "I will tribute Vala and the Generaider Token, to negate the activation." And the staff wielding Generaider Boss clad in storms raised its weapon, the shining token and the serpent riding fairy turning into motes of light that it gathered into itself in order to use its power.
With a wave of its staff, lightning surged from the storms as it struck the ground right before Shark, Harr's effect resolving as it negated Right-Hand Shark's graveyard effect.
'Now then, the only one card that he seems to have is the other draw that he had, and the only single card from his deck so far that does anything is most likely Buzzsaw Shark.' She thought. 'And since that's an on field effect Loptr should be able to deal with it.'
"You fell for it you fool!" Shark shouted loudly with a large grin, raising the last card in his hand high before slamming it into his shining duel blade. "I will activate the Spell, Seventh Ascension!"
"Huh?" She gasped in surprise before her eyes then went wide. "Wait, that card's-!"
"Seventh Ascension lets me take one card from my deck, either a 'Barian' Spell or Trap, a 'Rank-Up-Magic' Quick-Play Spell, or a 'Seventh' Spell or Trap card except 'Seventh Ascension', and either add it to my hand or palace it at the top of my deck!" He shouted, quickly giving the card's effect explanation as he then declared his choice.
"I will add to my hand Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One from my deck to my hand!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, the crimson energy that was around his body exploding as it all focused towards his hand, making her wince as she had to squint to even see.
"That card-!"
"And I will use Seventh Ascension's graveyard effect!" Shark cut her off, continuing in his roll as he kept going. "Since you control a monster that's summoned from the Extra Deck, I can banish it from my graveyard and send one 'Rank-Up-Magic' Spell from my hand to the grave, and have this effect become that Spell's effect when it's activated!"
"A copy effect!" She hissed. 'So he's cheating around Seventh One's entire destiny draw gimmick!'
"I will send Seventh One, and copy its effect!" The dark blue haired teen roared with as much power as he could possibly muster. "Which lets me special summon from my Extra Deck or Graveyard, one 'Number' monster that has a number between '101' and '107' in its name except 'Number C' monsters!"
As he finished explaining the card's effect, he raised his right hand, crimson energy focused on the hand as he roared with as much power that he could possibly muster as a giant vortex of crimson energy pooled right before him.
"Appear! Numbers 101!" He shouted the card's name, and she could hear the chime as the numeral glowed above them with power. "Unappeased Soul placed aboard the Ark! Arise from the abyss so deep not even light can reach it! Silent Honors ARK!"
And the monster that appeared before them was a gigantic futuristic ship, with many spikes adorning its silvery white and purple body, crimson energy shining along its side and the large center that held its core. The numeral 101 shone briefly at the right part of the ship's hull as it hovered above its summoner that shared its name.
Number 101: Silent Honor ARK - Water/Aqua/Rank4/Effect: 2100/1000 OV: 0
"But I'm not done yet!" He roared again, throwing his hand forward. "Because then Seventh One lets me special summon from my Extra Deck one 'Number C' monster with the same number in its name as the first monster, by using it as material!"
And below the giant Number Monster that was cheated out of her opponent's Extra Deck, a giant black and crimson vortex appeared, red lightning crackling and exploding outwards as the gigantic ship lowered onto it. "And now evolve! I will take Number 101 and use it to reconstruct the overlay network!"
The crimson and black vortex of energy exploded into a blinding red pillar, and Shark roared as he exploded with the same crimson power. "Rank-Up! Chaos XYZ Change!" And with that a new monster emerged onto the field.
"Appear, Chaos Number 101!" Shark chanted with a roar, crimson energy seemed to fill the empty space all around the man-made asteroid that they stood on. "Guardian of souls that have yet to mature, become the dark knight and crush the light! Silent Honor DARK!"
And released from its previous form, the evolved XYZ Monster took the form of yet another dark armoured lance wielding knight, spinning the crimson lance in its hand as its black armour shone with crimson energy. The large pauldron on its right side shone, the marking 101 shining with energy as a singular dark blue orb of power orbited the newly summoned XYZ Monster.
Number C101: Silent Honor DARK - Water/Aqua/Rank5/Effect: 2800/1500 OV: 1
"So you even have that too huh. Even getting Silent Honor DARK of all things," Speaking after she managed to regain her composure, she threw her hand forwards and shouted. "But I won't let you! On resolution, I will activate Loptr's effect!"
"What? An effect now of all times?" He hissed, at her declaration, but managed to keep his composure at the face of it. "but no matter what it is it won't matter against my immortal Silent Honor DARK!"
"During the Main Phase, as a Quick Effect, Loptr allows me to tribute one 'Generaider' monster, to special summon one Level 9 'Generaider' monster with a different name from my deck." She explained, ignoring Shark's bold declaration as she waved her hand to the side.
"I will tribute Harr, to special summon the last copy of Vala from my deck to the field!" She shouted as the white robed fairy raised its hands, the giant boss shrouded in storms disappearing into motes of light, and being replaced with the crimson robed Vala that held its staff pointed towards her opponent's monster.
Vala, Seidhr of the Genereider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 2500/2500
The serpent riding monster was then enveloped in a red aura, its power enhanced by Loptr as long as it was the opponent's turn.
Vala, Seidhr of the Genereider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 3500/3500
"Vala's effect!" She declared with a wave towards the monster. "If this card is special summoned. I can special summon one 'Generaider' monster from my hand or graveyard, except another one of herself!"
And with the situation what it was, she only had one target that she wanted to summon back onto the field. "Return once more! Utgarda!" She shouted, taking the monster card from her graveyard.
"That monster!" And no doubt knowing where this was heading, the shark themed duelist's eyes went wide as the gigantic castle-like monster took form on her field yet again.
Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 2200/2700
And a golden energy then enveloped the gigantic castle, as with Loptr's presence, both its attack and defence was strengthened.
Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 3200/3700
Not that it'll need it. It won't be staying for long. "Then on a new chain, I'll use Utgarda's effect! Tributing itself and the Vala that I summoned to target and banish your monster!" She shouted as she pointed towards the dark armoured XYZ Monster on Shark's field.
"No! NO!" Her opponent shouted in panic. "I activate the effect of Cutter Shark! I-I'll-I'll tribute Silent Honor DARK that you're targeting to summon it from the graveyard!" And with that declaration meant that the Number Monster was no longer a problem, as the giant armoured black knight turned into motes of light as it was tributed away from the field.
As the chain resolved, the green finned jeweled fish took its place, swimming on the air as if it was on water as it curled defensively in front of its summoned.
Cutter Shark - Water/Fish/Level 5/Effect: 0/2000
"And Utharda's effect will resolve without effect." Though there is no need for it to since its been outed anyway.
"Then I-I will activate Cutter Shark's effect!" Her opponent roared as he waved his hand aside, his earlier bravado and anger fading away as his eyes held panic. Darting left in right in search of something, anything that could salvage him from this position. "Which lets me add a Water monster from my graveyard to my hand at the End Phase!"
"But that won't matter. It's useless." She said sadly as she tipped her hat downwards. "At this point there really isn't anything that you can do sadly."
"I-I-I!" VIsibly angered as his face took a more crimson hue yet unable to do anything, her opponent grit his teeth in frustration before hanging his head as strength seemed to leave him, the crimson aura that had been clinging to him throughout the second half of the duel dissipating into thin air.
"I… end my turn." So he said, before declaring yet again. "And with Cutter Shark's effect I will add… Buzzsaw Shark to my hand." And with that Shark ended his turn, relinquishing the turn to her as he passes with a field of a singular monster and a singular card in hand.
"Then Loptr's effect would end as well, as its no longer your turn." She spoke simply, as both the remaining monsters on her field lost their enhancements.

Loptr, Shadow of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500
She closed her eyes as she let out a sigh of relief. 'Almost threw there because I was a bit careless.' She couldn't help but think as she opened her eyes yet again. 'There was a line, now that I think about it. If he had chained Dream Shark to his own Poseidon Wave, then there was a chance that he could have made a Rank 5 XYZ in addition to 101. And in addition to the Xyz Remora that he also drew…'
She shook her head to clear her mind of those thoughts. "No use in thinking over of it too much, my turn! I draw!" She shouted, drawing a card for turn and ignoring it as she threw her hand forwards. "I'll start with Loptr's effect, I'll tribute itself to summon Harr!"
The white robed fairy performed one last bow as its body dispersed into shining motes of light, before gathering yet again and taking the form of the much larger Generaider Boss clad in gold and black, singular crimson eye shining behind its dark hood.
Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms - Dark/Spellcaster/Level 9/Effect: 3000/3000
"Battle." There wasn't a need to draw this duel any longer after all. "Harr, destroy Cutter Shark." And the newly summoned storm cloaked monster swung down its staff, calling down lighting to destroy the one remaining monster on her opponent's side of the field.
"Kh! KH! KH!" Shark hissed and grit his teeth as he watched his monster turn into a mere spot in the giant rock that both of them were standing in, sending a death glare her way as he mustered the last of his strength. "You! YOU! BASTARD! I'LL DEFINITELY GET MY REVENGE ON YOU!"
"..." She remained silent, before raising her hand in response. "I'll be waiting then. Finish it, Jormungandr." And snapped her fingers, the grey world serpent letting out a road as it struck her opponent through his empty field. Maw opened wide as it threw itself to her opponent.
"GU-GUUUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" The dark blue haired teen screamed as he tried to stand his ground, only to be thrown up into the air by the giant serpent's strike, dealing far over lethal damage as he flopped harshly onto the ground.
His duel disk's chime marked an end to this duel.

"AND IT. IS. OVEEEEEEEER!" Mr. Heartland cheerfully declared as the crowd in the stadium cheered along with him, shaking the very stadium that they all stood in with their voice alone.
The same cheer resounded throughout the entire city as well, cheering for the victory that they watched. The reins of the chatter however was taken back by the city's most prominent man, who silenced them all as he spoke into his microphone yet again.
"After a grueling back and forth between these two extremely powerful duelists', after one of the most exciting matches so far of the World Duel Carnival, we have the second contestant who will continue on to the semi finals!" He shouted as his voice was projected, before spreading his hands out as wide as they possibly could be.
"YOUR WINNER ISSSSSSSSSSS THE MYSTERIOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS RED HAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!" And the fancily dressed man's long winded declaration was followed with more cheers.
"Yuuna won!"
"Yay!"
"Hmph. of course she did!" Serena said proudly as she jutted her chest forwards.
Mei chuckled as her friend's antics as she turned to the screen that showed her sister's image. "Though I would admit that it was a bit too close for comfort. That Shark person sure was strong"
"Oh! WHAT'S THIS!?" Their chatter was cut off as they all turned to the man standing on his floating platform.
"IT SEEMS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THAT WE ALREADY HAVE OUR NEXT DUEL ON OUR HANDS!" And with a wave, the screen at the center of the stadium changed yet again, and displayed yet a different area under the stadium.
-
"I see! I see! How interesting! How invigorating!" Such was the excited shouts that filled the Heartland Stadium's forest area, drowning the gentle sounds of the artificially made forest. All coming from a single young boy who held a large wicked smile with half of it hidden behind a metal mask.
Heedless of the ongoing events in the stadium, or perhaps uncaring of them, Tron continued to laugh, his body shaking to the point that he placed a hand on his face to keep himself still from the feelings that had grown over the course of the duel that he had just watched. "How utterly, completely-"
And in a single instance, the look of utter joy that is replaced as the bright and cheery atmosphere around him was replaced by utter disdain and apathy. "Revolting." The masked boy spoke in a monotonous tone.
"You certainly put up a good fight, Kamishiro Ryoga. If you had dueled like that from the start, then you might have actually won against me. But then again, you couldn't have gotten that far without my help hm?"
"Ah, but it seems that my own trials too are about to begin." The boy said as he patted his clothes, dusting off any bits and pieces of the artificial forest that clung to his clothing.
"Don't you agree?" He said as he turned his head to the side with a smile, his words aimed towards the figure that just walked into the same clearing that he had waited on for quite some time.

"And there we go." She huffed as she lowered Shark's unconscious body, letting him rest in a more comfortable place and position rather than be let in the spot where he was thrown after the last attack.
"Some staff would probably take him as soon as I leave. One of those round robots more likely knowing this place." She muttered as she dusted her clothes, but found her eyes remaining on the unconscious teen.
"That was… one of the most intense duel I've had since I got here. You certainly found a way to be memorable." She chuckled, fixing her hat as she kneeled down again.
"Don't worry." She said as she gave the unconscious teen a pat on his shoulders. "I'll beat up that 'masked freak' of yours and IV myself."
Finished with making sure that he's as comfortable as he possibly could, she stood up and made way for the exit that opened as soon as the duel was finished. Giving one last glance to the unconscious Shark.
"I promise."

"You found her? Good. Then we will proceed as planned."
"This is troubling. It's far too early in the schedule. We've certainly gotten some of them trained but not enough to initiate an assault. Not with the set back that we've received recently." A large mustached man spoke in an empty large room, filled with pillars as he gazed up towards the man in front of him.
"That's fine. We do not need to initiate the Plan for now." The dark skinned man said as he sat upon his throne, looking down on his subjects. "A small squadron should be enough to obtain our target. The impending assault could be done at a later date."
"But sir, according to our reports the Red Ha-"
"Will be avoided. As is protocol." The Professor swiftly answered before the current leader of the Obelisk Blues, Sanders. "There is no need to provoke her. And if needed be, some members of the force would use themselves as shields to protect the others to buy time."
"I see! Your wisdom knows no bounds!" The military dressed man bowed his head, and the man sitting on the throne threw his hand out as he gave his order.
"Proceed with covert actions! We will achieve our goals without fail!"
