The words of Boy Number Two initially seemed unremarkable, but as Han Fei pondered them, his consciousness began to tremble ever so slightly.
"The only god who can give their all to help you is called 'yourself'?"
This statement by Boy Number Two could have been referring to himself, or it could have been directed towards Han Fei, or perhaps even towards Kuangxiao.
Han Fei and Kuangxiao were Twin Flowers grown together; no matter what they went through, that fact could never change. Thus, for them, trusting and relying on each other was the best choice.
"Keep on studying." the boy said, his hands on his thighs, leaning against the back of the chair, his thoughts unknowable to anyone.
As his consciousness returned to normal, Han Fei crouched beside Boy Number Two's wheelchair, disbelief etched on his face, sensing that the boy's previous statement was leading him somewhere.
