After a hearty meal at Goku's house, Ryoha and Bulma saw the Four-Star Ball. Without hesitation, they spoke about the Dragon Balls, hoping Goku would go out and venture a bit. Having a Saiyan as a competitor provided more motivation for training. Ryoha, already driven by his strong desire for quick improvement, became even more eager for battle after acquiring Saiyan blood.
"Sure!" Goku also wanted to be as powerful as his grandpa. Especially when Ryoha mentioned that going out would let them encounter more skilled fighters. Though Goku was naive at the moment, he was already fond of challenging experts and fighting. And with someone similar to himself, Goku didn't refuse when Ryoha asked to borrow the Four-Star Ball.

Eventually, Oolong was subdued under Ryoha's fists, leaving him no room to retaliate. As days passed, the number of Dragon Balls increased. Surprisingly, while in the desert, they encountered robbers.
"It's Yamcha!" Ryoha smiled faintly. This guy wasn't on par with him and Goku before, and now he was even less so.
"Do you want your life or your money?" Yamcha didn't mince words.
"Both!" Ryoha didn't beat around the bush and rushed forward. His speed startled Yamcha. Having encountered a tough opponent this time, Yamcha tried to attack but was ultimately beaten down by Ryoha, reducing him from someone who could put up a fight at first to someone passively receiving hits.
"Master Yamcha, please leave!" Puar transformed into a jet and quickly carried the battered Yamcha away.
"That was exhilarating! Compared to using ninjutsu or genjutsu in combat, I find this more enjoyable!" Ryoha expressed his satisfaction. Even though Yamcha's strength wasn't enough, it was enough for Ryoha to have fun.

After the meal, Ryoha and his companions boarded Bulma's jet and flew at top speed to Ox-King's castle, where the new Dragon Ball was located. Unwilling to accept defeat, Yamcha also followed them.
On the way, Ryoha noticed a girl below, probably Chi-Chi, so he asked Bulma to land.

Seeing Ryoha finding another girl in front of her again, even though it wasn't a big deal for now, Bulma, who knew her man well, immediately felt jealous. After arriving at Ox-King's castle, they found it surrounded by flames, and Ox-King suddenly appeared. He didn't notice his daughter yet, as Chi-Chi was still unconscious. Instead, he mistook Ryoha's group as thieves and swung a massive axe at them.
Goku, who hadn't fought with Yamcha before, was thrilled and immediately went out to fight Ox-King. Even though Ox-King was stronger, the fight between him and Goku was neck and neck until Goku brought out the Power Pole. This made Ox-King realize that this was his master's grandson, and upon learning that they wanted to find the Dragon Balls, Ox-King generously agreed.
Since they hadn't encountered Umigame, Goku didn't have the Flying Nimbus yet. Bulma gave Ox-King the fastest jet, letting him carry Goku to find Master Roshi. Meanwhile, Ryoha's group stayed there.
During this time, Chi-Chi woke up. Ryoha accidentally bumped into Chi-Chi, who immediately screamed. Luckily, no one heard Chi-Chi, as she was looking for something else at the time. But even then, Chi-Chi bit Ryoha's ear and said she wanted to marry him. She was a woman of great affection and loyalty, fulfilling the promise made out of complete innocence in childhood by dedicating her entire life to it.
"Puar, I didn't expect them to look for the Dragon Balls. Are those Dragon Balls really that miraculous? Why don't we go find them too?" Yamcha, who was hiding nearby, suggested.
"Master Yamcha, their strength is quite formidable. Not only that boy but even that kid called Goku is strong. What should we do?" Puar expressed concern.
"No need to fear; I've already devised a plan." Yamcha said confidently.
