Shao Yunduan held Qiao Xuan close, his embrace comforting and reassuring. "I'm back because you and Anan are here. Where else would I go?"
Qiao Xuan's heart swelled with warmth at his words, a smile gracing her lips.
As they settled down together, Qiao Xuan suggested freshening up. "Let's take things one step at a time from now on. Having a clear goal and a place to call home already makes things feel so much better."
Shao Yunduan nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. Whatever I do, I'll make sure to consider every angle."
He reassured her of their preparedness, knowing that they had contingency plans in place.
Qiao Xuan smiled back, her trust evident in her gaze. "I believe in you."
