After spending over an hour explaining the general plan for interest collection to Fire Yang, Motan took Yizou along and left the War Hall located on the eastern side of the Enlightenment Temple. It wouldn't be long before Sumer's elders, who truly hold decision-making power, would gather in that building to tacitly observe Fire Yang as he presented a plan that was definitely not his own creation. Whether they'd accept it or adopt it, however, was beyond Motan's control.
He had already done the best he could. Even if those uncles, aunties, and elders felt his ideas were no more than unnecessary worrying, and chose to continue their measures of recuperation and conservation, Motan could still rest easy, knowing he'd done his part.
