It dawned, and the perpetually dark Earth Sea lit up for the first time, although there were no bright spots, Earth Sea easily became very bright.
Charles's eyeballs slowly shriveled and retracted, along with all sorts of misshapen organs, as well as Charles's Shadow, slowly shrinking back into the massive ropes-like structure on the ground.
Humanity had returned, Charles, who had reverted to human form, stared blankly up at the bright sky above, the pitch-black rock layer above Earth Sea revealing its natural tawny color for the first time.
"What... what on earth is going on?" he murmured to himself.
As he spoke, "thump, thump," sounds of bodies hitting the ground echoed from behind him — those were the Light God believers with wax-sealed eyes, to whom the warm sunlight was pure poison.
