"Hmph! You disappoint me, Fin. I thought you were better than that," I pouted as I finally let go of Fin's collar.
"I-I'm sorry, Eria-sama! But just as I said, I didn't know how else I can show my gratitude... After all, you were my first woman..." Fin apologized in the most sincere tone he could muster, all for the last time.
"Stop making excuses! Just when I thought you were different..."
"I...! I won't do it again!" surprising even his servants, he bowed his head even deeper.
"Humph! You better," I nodded with a satisfied grunt.
"F-Finral-sama... It's time... We don't want to arrive late to your home..." the butler-person suddenly butted in our conversation, "I'm sorry, miss elf, but we need to take our young master to his family in a haste," facing me, he excused.
"Is that so...?"
"That is so..."
Well, Fin has been gone from his home in an extended period of time, so it's only natural that they would want him back in a rush.
"By the way, if you will pardon me to ask, what is your relationship with our young master? From the letters he sent us, the only thing he told us about you was that you were a great and prominent person... But..."
Discontinuing his statement, he started to evaluate my appearance. Seeing his stern stare, his evaluation on me might have not come out positively. I can understand if he underestimates my capabilities base on how I look outside, be it either a curse or a blessing, I'm stuck to look like a 17 year old girl after all.
"If you two are lovers, then shouldn't you come together with him?"
"Eh...?"
"W-What are you saying!?" Fin suddenly lashes out.
"What? Is that not the case?" the old butler asked back in a panic.
"Of course not! Eria-sama is way out of my reach!"
"H-How is that possible...? Surely, even if she was an elf, with your status..."
"Don't assume too much! You're being rude to Eria-sama!"
"W-What...?" he blankly stares at Fin, then turning towards me, he asks, "Are you possibly an elven princess...?"
"Huh? Not at all! I'm just an ordinary adventurer you can find anywhere..." I awkwardly said.
"But..."
He must've gotten confused on why Fin was acting the way he does. He seems to be curious and wants to ask further to figure out what our relationship might be. However, after shaking his head, he opted to let the conversation move on instead.
"I see, so you're an adventurer? I cannot be assured of your abilities, but it seems Finral-sama has relied on you a lot in his adventures," he bowed his head to sincerely offer me his gratitude.
He didn't need to be so skeptical of me, but I suppose he was just being genuine. It turns out that he also wasn't looking down on me as I thought at first. He was simply mistaking me as his master's lover.
"Now then, as I said in the beginning, I'm afraid we must take Finral-sama with us now."
"It's fine. Please take him home safely."
"We'll do just that," the butler confidently nodded.
"Well then... Take care, Fin..." I finally bid my farewell.
"Umu! Please take care as well, Eria-sama! P-Please make sure to visit my home in the future!"
With that, Fin finally left for the better...
