Chapter 104 - The Counter Begins

When Masaki took a step forward, Dues fired a red beam from his head. Masaki blocked it using a spell from his thunder magic.

"That was a warning shot," Delta said. "The next one won't be so merciful."

Masaki replied, "Hey, tin-face, can that metal block your throat too? Or is Miss Lava Brain just that much of a slave?"

Delta tried to attack Masaki by summoning a pillar of magma from beneath him. As Masaki emerged from the magma, he was unscathed—yet his left arm was blackened and burned.

"You two really are idiots," Masaki said. "No wonder you're part of Evil Eye now. Thunder X Armour Magic—Tungsten Gauntlets of Odin!"

Gauntlets formed on both his arms, tipped with sharp claws.

"I'm done messing around," Masaki declared.

Both Dues and Alpha attacked at the same time, but Masaki blocked them using his gauntlets and pushed forward against their combined assault. As their attacks halted, Masaki ran in to counter.

"Now—Thunder Magic: Jet Thunder!" he shouted, turning into pure lightning and striking them from behind.

"You two are strong, but not smart," Masaki mocked.

He then leapt into the air and kicked Delta, who tried to block the attack using her forearms. Still, the impact was so powerful it sent her crashing through five rooms.

Masaki turned to Dues. "Now it's your turn."

He attacked from above, slamming both hands down onto Dues, forcing him to the ground.

"You members of Evil Eye have some nerve coming to our HQ unannounced and shouting orders at us," Masaki said. "We are the uncrowned, undefeated Lions of Eldoria!"

He raised his clawed gauntlet. "Here. Take this as a reminder for your boss."

He crushed Dues' metal mask, barely sparing his life.

"Let's go," Masaki said.

Anew replied, "But sir—your hand!"

"No need," Masaki said, dismissing the concern.

He carried both Anew and Astrea by the waist and vanished through the clouds at lightning speed, heading toward the Corefury HQ.

Meanwhile, in the captain's room, Rubues sat on Lucifer's chair.

"Lucifer, explain this to me. Why the hell are your subordinates disobeying orders?"

Lucifer shrugged. "What can I say? They're a rowdy bunch. They're not my pets—they don't follow every command."
