Joel Russo responded indifferently, his eyes constantly following Arabella Vanderbilt.
As soon as Arabella touched the soft, warm bed, she couldn't help but yawn, turned towards Joel, clutched the quilt tightly and closed her eyes.
Joel kept staring at her, his brows slowly furrowed.
Eventually, he turned off the tablet, tossed it aside, slid down, and pulled Arabella into his embrace.
Arabella opened her eyes, puzzled. Ever since the fire started, she had felt his intense gaze upon her for some odd reason.
"What's wrong?"
Joel looked down at her and asked, "Don't you have something to tell me?"
There was some confusion in Arabella's starry eyes.
"Like what?"
Joel's expression grew worse.
"Think about what you just told Jinna."
Arabella's eyes twinkled, and she suddenly smiled, saying:
"Don't be nervous?"
Upon uttering these words, Arabella almost couldn't restrain her laughter.
Joel clearly saw the cunning in her eyes and, aggravated, he gave her cheek a playful bite.
