Chapter 584 - 584 New World: A Clear Message from Lucifer, The Blonde Girl with a Dream, A Guild of Legends? and An Unknown Spirit Mage.

A portal opened in the sky, and Allen fell—into a new world unknown to him.

[Allen!]

Remembered by the system that he was in free fall, Allen tried to fly but realized he couldn't. Not falling into despair, he created a magic sphere with protective magic around him.

The sphere crashed heavily onto the ground, creating a crater. Moments later, the sphere shattered like glass, and Allen appeared lying down, staring at the sky. His gaze was a bit bored, and his heart felt heavy. The reality of having lost the fight against Lucifer did affect him.

[Allen, are you feeling okay?]

"No, but I will be…" Allen sat up and opened his interface, but a twinge made him bring his hand to his head, 'Ugh, I thought I wouldn't get headaches anymore...'

At that moment, Allen realized he didn't remember anything from his conversation with Lucifer about the bet, but it wasn't hard to imagine that Lucifer must have set a challenge or condition that would make his "adventure" difficult.

Allen looked up at the vast blue sky. This was a world where anything could happen now that an Omnipotent being breathed down his neck. But even without remembering the details of the bet, he was confident he would win. Besides, Lucifer wouldn't cheat—he didn't need to.

Allen took a deep breath...

It felt like the exploration journey had ended...

Allen was betting everything there is against the devil...

[Host, the specific content of the bet with Lucifer is hidden by contract, but generally, it's simple: Allen Walker will travel to other worlds as usual, but the devil believes this can't be interesting, so he will impose four conditions on Allen—three are negotiable if you want, and one is definitive. The conditions will be revealed in due time...]

[This sounds unfair to Allen, but in exchange, Lucifer will bet a fragment of his own power, which he will divide into a definite number of parts that only you and he know.]

"That I do remember—Lucifer will give me his power with each world where I finish its story or progress to a certain point..."

"To 'complete the world.'" Completing the world can vary from defeating a boss to simply finishing the canon. If Allen finishes his adventure meeting these conditions, he will gain a part of Lucifer's power. However, regardless of these conditions, Allen cannot avoid getting involved in the plot.

This is a big risk for both. For example, if Lucifer divided his power into ten parts, that means if Allen wins five times, he will have enough power to kill him. But that's why Lucifer won't make it easy. If Allen breaks any condition, he loses that fragment, so if he loses enough times, he will never be as strong as Lucifer.

'That guy is crazy...' Allen thought, clutching his head.

Of course, Allen accepted, making it clear this would no longer be a walk in the park. Allen was risking everything, but at the same time, with each world, Lucifer would weaken, and he would grow stronger. Only the two of them would know how many worlds Allen would need to defeat Lucifer.

Lucifer – Good boy, you're already there...

Gwen – You bastard—

"Sorry, Gwen, give me a moment, and I'll explain everything…"

Allen asked the system to mute the entire chat and let only Lucifer speak—it was important.

Lucifer – Don't worry about me. I'm not one of those men who enjoy attention; I'll just watch silently, hoping it's worth it. If you want my power, you better make it interesting, Clown King. Haha... well, see you...

...

After Lucifer disappeared, Allen deactivated the mute in the Chat, and a flood of comments poured onto the screen—everything from concern to curses aimed at Lucifer. Still, everyone had seen how the fight ended with Allen's defeat, so this bet they were making was the best possible outcome.

McDragon – I can't believe there's someone, something so powerful as that...

Beerus – You had bad luck; that enemy was impossible to beat. Don't worry...

Whis – Ara~ even Beerus-sama is being kind... Still, I agree, it was an impossible victory... managing to negotiate your way out is a huge achievement...

Eve – Do you have any idea how much I... I'm glad you're okay

Annie – I'm still mad that you didn't run away.

Rukia – You fool!

Unohana – ...

Amanda – I almost had a heart attack!

Rias – That was very reckless!

Akeno – Onne-san is angry...

Kara – I...

Diana – I'm glad you're okay...

Natasha – Allen...

"Thank you, and I'm sorry."

MJ – Idiot! Do you know how worried I was?! Come back right now!

"Sorry, I can't."

Allen was trapped in this world until he reached the first "checkpoint," though he didn't know what that was yet.

Gwen – Allen... I...

"I know what you mean. It's my fault. I caused something like this to happen."

Zatanna – No! If anyone's to blame, it's me!

At this moment, Zatanna was accompanied by other DC girls at Allen's mansion, located on the outskirts of Gotham. She had been freed as part of the deal and immediately went to Allen's house where she found Kara, Barbara, and Raven. She was also devastated—it was her fault all this happened. She blamed herself and suffered because of it.

"You don't have to blame yourself!"

Zatanna – No! It's my fault!

Allen smiled at Zatanna's response. "You really don't need to worry. Whether it was you, Gwen, Annie, MJ, Cate, Amanda, Yoruichi, or any of you, the result would have been the same. Still, I would choose to fight the devil."

Gwen, MJ, Felicia, and Natasha were in the living room of the New York apartment and kept silent.

Allen saw his girlfriends, lovers, and friends worried. He wanted to go home to comfort the girls but could only apologize for now. However, his words conveyed his warmth to all the girls, and it was hard to blame him—he risked everything against an Omnipotent opponent, but in the end, he did it to protect important people. Who could blame him for that? Wouldn't anyone else do the same?

The Chat's atmosphere calmed, and Allen got up from the ground.

"Enough"

Losing to Lucifer is not shameful; it's better to say he fought him and survived. The guy could create a multiverse if he wanted—how do you defeat that kind of monster?

"All right, that's it for this... time to look for... what was I supposed to look for?"

Not knowing what world this was, Allen normally wouldn't move too much, but now...

[Don't worry, even without plot knowledge, you can use the mission system as a guide... sorry.]

"No worries, rules are rules,"

[Main Mission: Find Lucy Heartfilia]

Allen looked at the screen with a raised eyebrow. "Lucy... I see..."

Allen touched the screen, and an arrow appeared, pointing to a coastal city he could see in the distance. The arrow disappeared, but Allen already knew where to go.

...

In the city, Allen observed the world more carefully. There were old houses and buildings made of brick, stone, and wood. It was a large city but had a fantasy vibe with older development mixed with modern elements.

Allen walked among the people without drawing attention, wearing a hood. His arrow guided him slowly toward the woman named Lucy Heartfilia. On the way, Allen overheard the city's name—it was called Hargeon, a port city in the Kingdom of Fiore.

"This is completely a fantasy world."

MJ – This place screams Isekai...

"MJ, you're fine now."

MJ – Yeah, in the end, you're okay, and that's what matters most...

Gwen – Allen, if you're looking for a mage, you should go to a magic shop...

Though giving Allen direct information wasn't possible, a hint was enough, and he'd be able to figure it out.

"Magic shop? Might as well register at a guild as an adventurer and go to a dungeon?" Allen said laughing as he walked through Hargeon's streets.

There was silence in the chat, implying there were guilds or maybe dungeons in this world.

Allen asked a woman selling fruit, and to his luck, there was only one magic shop in the city. He headed there. However, halfway there, an emergency window popped up.

[Emergency Mission: Save Lucy Heartfilia]

"Tsk..." Allen saw this and immediately jumped onto a rooftop and kept running. It would be embarrassing if the girl died before meeting him.

Allen sped through the city...

...

Inside an alley away from the main street a girl was being cornered by three guys.

"Who are you?!" the girl shouted angrily. She didn't seem very strong physically, but she still stood her ground against the criminals.

"Oh, this time we've got a tough and pretty girl. She's going to fetch a good price~"

Lucy was filled with rage upon hearing the man's words. They weren't just thugs, they were kidnappers. Lucy moved her hand slowly to her purse at her waist and picked up a golden key.

"Shit, she's a mage!"

"Too late to regret it now!" Lucy grabbed a golden key and the magic started to activate, "Open, the door of—"

A kidnapper grabbed Lucy's hand before she could activate the portal key and immediately snatched it away. Lucy turned pale.

"Phew, that was close…"

"Aniki, how did you know?" asked another kidnapper.

"This girl is a spirit mage. Her magic is based on summoning spirits through portal keys, but without those keys, she's practically useless…"

"Great job, Aniki! The boss will give us a bonus!"

The three kidnappers laughed as if Lucy were already merchandise. However, the truth wasn't far off. She had lived as a lady in a noble family but had run away to follow her dream. Despite her good magical education, physical strength was not her strong suit, especially since she had forgotten to use the whip she carried out of fear.

Lucy grew even paler. No, no, this can't be real! What do I do?!

Spirit mages aren't rare—you can tell by the many magic shops selling silver keys. That's why many people knew the weakness of this kind of magic.

Lucy was desperate. Even as an ex–young lady of high birth, she was aware of what would happen if these guys took her away. Her survival instincts kicked in and she wanted to scream.

"HELP—!"

Immediately, the thug "Aniki" covered her mouth. "Oh, I almost forgot this!"

Lucy started to cry—this situation was too surreal. Nothing like this had ever happened to her before. How could she be so unlucky?

Someone! Lucy thought as she was dragged, looking toward the main street from the alley. But there seemed to be an invisible barrier; no one was looking that way.

"Come on, girl, you're very pretty, you're lucky. You'll probably end up with a rich, handsome man, living a life of luxury and comfort, warming his bed," each word spoken by the ugly, unpleasant man was a stab to Lucy's chest.

No, Mom…

"Some things never change, no matter the world!"

No one had time to react before a punch landed on the first kidnapper's face, smashing his nose and mouth.

"Gahhh!"

"Ani!—"

The second received a kick to the neck that nearly killed him before he collapsed, foaming at the mouth. The third, frightened, drew a sword and attacked Allen from behind.

"Watch out!" Lucy shouted from where she was sitting on the ground.

"Don't worry…" Allen calmly replied as the sword stopped just inches from him.

"A magic whale?!" Lucy breathed a sigh of relief—her savior was a mage too.

Allen turned to the man with a calm look that gave the man chills and an inconceivable fear. He didn't know who he was facing, but he was sure he had made a mistake. He wanted to surrender, but Allen didn't give him the chance. He raised his hand and struck the man's forehead with a finger, sending him flying through the alley until he crashed into a building.

"Incredible…" Lucy was impressed, not knowing what kind of magic that was.

"We better get out of here…" Allen turned to her and offered his hand.

"Th-thank you," Lucy accepted it, still in a daze.

Before she realized it, both were running far from the alley. Why didn't Allen turn those three over to the guards or police or whoever handled law enforcement in Hargeon? It was simple: he had nearly killed two of them and didn't want legal trouble so soon.

[Rescue Lucy Heartfilia – Mission Complete: Reward + 10,000 Jewels, + Protection Ring, + Lucy's Confidence Up, + Lucy's Affection Up.]

Allen silently checked the rewards as he ran, holding Lucy's hand. Jewels? That must be the currency here…

...

Later, in a cozy restaurant, Allen sat with Lucy across from him. He ordered some food while Lucy watched him, trying to get a good look at his face. She rubbed her eyes a couple of times.

"Is something wrong?"

"It's nothing," Lucy blushed. She didn't want to admit that sometimes Allen seemed very handsome to her, and other times his face looked normal—but that was because Allen forgot to deactivate the spell that prevented people from recognizing his face. Of course, that spell also acted like a filter hiding his good looks.

"I see…"

Lucy Heartfilia coughed and looked at Allen eating. "Thank you so much for saving me. My name is Lucy…"

"Lucy?" Allen raised an eyebrow, noticing she hadn't introduced her last name.

"Yes…" Lucy looked away.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Allen…"

Lucy smiled, knowing Allen wouldn't interrogate her, so she relaxed. Lucy was a beautiful girl with long blonde hair, a small portion tied in a little ponytail on the side of her head, discreet earrings, and no makeup. She wore a white blouse with two blue stripes—one vertical, one horizontal—a dark blue skirt, brown boots, a small bag tied at her waist, and a whip she had forgotten to use out of panic.

"I can't believe it! Those guys really did that in broad daylight!" Lucy burst out, surprising everyone—Allen and the restaurant's patrons alike.

Lucy blushed when she realized what she'd said.

...

McDragon – That surprised me—what was that outburst about?

Rogue – Dummy, the girl just went through a kidnapping. Of course, she's going to be nervous and scared, but thanks to Allen, she relaxed... this should be her usual personality.

...

"There are bad people in the world, Lucy," Allen answered, making Lucy look at him in amazement. Then she leaned on the table and smiled, "And there are good people too~"

Allen stopped eating and looked at the girl. He didn't dare to tell her he saved her because of a mission. Luckily, that wasn't necessary.

"I wouldn't call myself good, but I'm no monster. People like those don't deserve mercy…"

Allen hadn't hesitated to attack them hard enough to keep them in bed for months with lifelong consequences.

"That's scary…" Lucy said, still smiling but with a drop of sweat on her forehead.

"I'm sorry..." Allen shrugged his shoulders.

Lucy shook her head and smiled normally again. "This journey isn't as easy as I thought."

"Are you on an adventure?" Allen asked, glancing at his screen and seeing the mission to find Lucy was still incomplete.

Lucy's eyes sparkled as she eagerly began to tell how she started her journey to join the guild she had always admired, Fairy Tail. This guild was very famous, both for good and bad reasons. She was a spirit mage hoping to become a famous mage like Mirajane. She even pulled out a magazine showing a stunning albino beauty with blue eyes posing in a bikini.

"I see… so you want to join Fairy Tail… huh."

Allen stayed silent for a moment before speaking, "From the way you say it, sounds like a very impressive guild."

"Isn't it? Wait, you don't know Fairy Tail?!" Lucy was shocked again, but immediately embarrassed by her reaction and sat down. "You're a mage but you don't know Fairy Tail?"

"No?"

Lucy opened her mouth in disbelief, then looked at Allen confused. Before going on her adventure, she had researched famous mages and guilds a lot, so she was curious which guild Allen belonged to.

"Allen, which one…"

Before Lucy could finish her question, a commotion outside was heard—lots of girls running and screaming like their BTS was signing autographs.

"Ah, it's Salamander-sama! ❤️"

"No way, the famous fire mage?!"

"Ah ❤️~"

Curious, Lucy wanted to go see, but when she stood up, she saw something that left her speechless.

"You're a Spirit Mage?!" Lucy shouted for the third time, drawing everyone's attention—including Allen, who noticed the keys hanging from her waist.

"A…" Allen touched his keys and smiled softly. It seemed the dolls had adapted to this world, becoming spirits so they could be summoned. As for why they hadn't spoken until now—it was because most were resting, having been injured.

Allen looked at Lucy before smiling, "Who knows…"

"Huh?!"
