Chapter 1856 - Chapter 287: Miserable

Preaching and demonstrating principles, for Tang Luo, is a very simple task.

How simple? It's just about speaking out what one thinks, that's all.

I speak, therefore I believe; I believe, therefore I act; I act, therefore I am; I preach the Way!

As for how much the listeners can understand or gain, that's beyond the control of the preacher.

Ordinary people consider enlightenment as distress, while Buddha regards distress as enlightenment.

For those with dull aptitude, unthinking rebuttal is a key measure of establishing their sense of existence.

Proving one's existence is more important than personal progress, so even if a sage preaches, to them it appears full of errors.

As long as one remains stubbornly ignorant, one can always be correct; this is the fundamental manifestation of stupidity.

Therefore, preaching has never been about reaching everyone.

It's about allowing those worthy to receive, and letting those unworthy ridicule.
