Gu Fan has visited three relics of the ancient Super Civilization, and all three of these relics could possibly provide energy for the device.
However, the three relics are far from Refining Demon Island, and far from the deserted town, beyond reach; even if there is energy, it cannot be transported there, unless the Great Demon King and Aosai completed the energy transport line.
Another way is to transport the energy there, but this requires special transportation tools to accomplish.
