In the past, Xia Youyang used to address him as Uncle Ruan, but now Xia Ziqian also calls him Uncle. If he continues to call him Uncle, it would mean he's from a generation below his, which felt odd. Yet calling him brother felt awkward too, so he simply used his name.
Xia Youyang scoffed, threw him a glance, and did not respond.
"You're becoming more and more unmannerly, Xia Ziqian is far cuter," he admonished.
"Haven't you always liked younger children?" Xia Youyang retorted.
When Xia Youyang was young, Ruan Xiangchen was particularly fond of him. Now, he's shifted his attention towards Xia Ziqian.
This made Xia Youyang wonder if Ruan Xiangchen really had a fondness for children.
Ruan Xiangchen's face slightly changed upon hearing Xia Youyang's words. He replied irritably, "I only prefer younger kids. Why does it sound wrong when you put it that way? Enough of that. Let's have our meal. By the way, did you call your sister for dinner?"
