"What? You're so unromantic." Qin Yin glared at him and said, "Because today is our wedding anniversary."
Nan Sichen blinked in slight surprise before it dawned on him — it was true. They'd actually been married for a year.
"Where should we eat?" Qin Yin asked.
"You decide."
"How about we cook at home?"
"Alright."
The two of them went to the supermarket together, bought ingredients, and returned to "Forever Chang'an." Qin Yin insisted that none of the servants help and gave them all the day off. She and Nan Sichen busied themselves in the kitchen.
Nowadays, Qin Yin's knife skills had improved considerably, and Nan Sichen was quite adept with a ladle too. One picked vegetables, the other washed them. One chopped, the other cooked. Gone were the days of boiling dishcloths with the rice or flinging vegetables into the pot like throwing darts.
