"Right. Maybe we can finish catching up once we're off this island. We've got work to do." Geralt said. Of course Ciri wasn't okay with it as she felt she would be a danger to everyone but Geralt convinced her otherwise.
She couldn't run for her life, not always. It was time they face the Wild Hunt and be done with it. And they would do it together as many people would help them. Citi was surprised that her father had even have friends.
"Alright, alright. Lead the way, then." Ciri finally spoke at the end, gave up trying to run away.
"So, Liam," she said casually, while holding his hand since they would use her long distance transport abilities to go to Kaer Morhen directly, "where exactly did Geralt find you? You don't seem like the usual type he keeps around."
"Oh, you wouldn't believe me if I told you." Liam said as they vanished from the small hut, never to step foot again at the Island of Mists ever again.

The moment they appeared in Kaer Morhen, the heavy, familiar scent of old stone and burning wood surrounded them. But what followed next was the warmth of the people around. Yennefer came running in and she was the first to do so.
"You little fool," Yennefer whispered. "You had me worried sick."
"I missed you too, Yen." Ciri felt Yennefer's grip tighten, her nails digging in just a bit, but she didn't mind.
"We have a lot to talk about."
Before Ciri could respond, Triss was there, wrapping her arms around her tightly. As she did so Yennefer went and kissed Geralt. Triss's eyebrows lifted up a bit when she saw that while hugging Ciri, but she didn't say a word. After all, there was nothing between them anymore.
"Ciri… Gods, it's good to see you again." Triss said.
"You're getting sentimental on me, Triss." Of course Ciri didn't notice the shift of emotions of Triss. Then, Lambert and Eskel were there, with Lambert grinning wide.
"Well, well, the little witcher princess returns." Lambert said.
"We missed you, Ciri." Eskel joined in.
"You two missed me? Did hell freeze over?" Ciri laughed.
"Shut up and come here." Lambert scolded.
Then came Vesemir. The old witcher didn't rush forward. He simply opened his arms, and Ciri didn't hesitate. She stepped into his embrace, letting herself feel like a child again, if only for a moment.
"Look at you," Vesemir murmured. "You've grown into a fine woman."
"I wouldn't be here without you." Ciri replied.
"You're home now," he assured her. "That's all that matters."
Liam stood off to the side, watching the heartwarming reunion with a smile on his face. He had to admit, it was nice seeing this side of them. He had been around for a while, but seeing the famed Ciri get smothered with affection was a whole different thing.
Steve and Natasha exchanged a glance, both clearly touched by the moment. Even they had grown fond of Kaer Morhen's ragtag family. Geralt let Ciri have her moment before finally clearing his throat.
"There are a couple more people you should meet." He stepped aside.
"And who might they be?" Ciri turned. She had already seen them after she had arrived and was waiting for their introductions. Especially Steve. If Liam wasn't here, she would probably gone up to him and introduced herself. He was one hell of a gorgeous man.
"Steve and Natasha," Geralt said, keeping it simple. "They're from another world."
That statement made Ciri's smile falter for just a moment. She blinked, then let out a small laugh, as if waiting for the punchline. When none came, she turned to Geralt, then to Liam.
"Another world? What the hell does that mean?"
"Exactly what I said. They aren't from here—this world, this realm, whatever you want to call it."
Ciri turned to Avallac'h, expecting him to scoff or wave it off as nonsense, but the elven sage was staring at Liam now. That alone made her tense.
"And just how did they get here?" she asked cautiously.
"That'd be my doing, actually." Liam who had been by the side spoke up. Now it made sense to her. The attraction she feels for him wasn't only due to his charm and mystery. But also they had the same power. But as far as she knew there was nobody of her bloodline.
This meant somewhere, some Aen Elle had gone out of their strict rules and pride and had a descendant with a human being.
"Alright, Liam. Start talking." Ciri replied.
"I'm from another world, just like them. I ended up here through… well, let's just say some unexpected circumstances. Ran into Geralt a while back, helped him out a bit, and now I'm here."
"You're serious?" Ciri stared at him. She didn't expect that in some other world, an Aen Elle had pulled the same shit as her ancestor.
"Dead serious."
"So you are like me. Good to know that I am not alone." Ciri said.
Lam shrugged his shoulders in response. Ciri had more questions but she was exhausted and thus needed some rest time and peace. While she did so, Liam and rest got back to what they were doing. Fortifying the fortress. Since Ciri had used her powers to come here, it was beacon for the Aen Elle.
Tony had been called too for help and instead of coming back, he asked Steve and others to visit him at Oxenfurt as he needed some assistance of his own. This surprised everyone as Tony was not known to ask for the help kind, until it was very urgently necessary so Liam and others had decided to visit him after the fortress was fortified.
And for that they might need more help than their current hands. It wasn't that the current manpower couldn't make the fortress like the old times, but Liam knew that this makeshift place wouldn't be able to save Vesemir.
In game Vesemir died saving Ciri and Liam didn't want that to happen, thus he needed to add more things here so that it could actually threaten the Wild Hunt, and not just tickle them.
