Chernov was brought to a building, from its appearance, it seemed like a lord's mansion.
"This was one of the Lord Mansions, now it is our main research centre in the whole city. There is a library in the mansions, perhaps the lord here liked to read and collect. It gives us a lot of help in understanding the world system here."
When he walked in, it was completely different from how it looked from the outside. The wall was built with gold shining, and the space inside was bigger than how it was supposed to be. Researchers are doing their work just here.
"Surprise isn't it, it is one of the undead magic, something like a space extension, where the actual size will be bigger than how it was. In the centre, we separate it into a few sectors, undead magic research, culture research, weapon research, minerals research and some others." Semyon walked while explaining.
Chernov sees a guy, controlling a bunch of monkey bones, joins them together, and then sends them to a machine that is full of runes, after a moment of shining with purple light, the monkey bones start moving.
Semyon sees what Chernov was paying attention to, and explains to him.
"This is one of our daily jobs, testing the undead magic on different animals and creatures. That is not the monkey that we used to see in our motherland, it just looks similar. We are still working on the Ecological Environment, looking at what the difference in the dead magic applies to them. I believe you know about the giant squid in Sevastopol, that is one of our results, their existence when our navy first brought back them gave us a lot of help."
"That is what the researchers in this library do, also the culture research on this world."
They then walked out of the library and entered another Soviet-style building.
"And here is our weapon testing and research centre, where I want to show you something."
Semyon continued to walk, until very deep into the building.
A big missile was rising, it seemed to be nothing different from what he had seen except for its shiny magic and runes.
"Let me introduce to you Comrade General. The vacuum imploder is a super weapon that is clean, powerful, radiation-clean and safe. All substances will collapse into an infinitely extending singularity, which will last for about 10 seconds and eventually disappear. Only a concave mark of the explosion will remain on the ground within a radius of 100 miles."
"The development of this weapon was inspired by the undead, if you remember, the enemy once used a type of weapon that could turn a whole division of our personnel into zombies. We try to duplicate one of them but failed, it required some extra undead magic where we does not hold it. Therefore we change our mind, trying to combine the Plainspire tower, our modern technology and dark magic, and building this vacuum imploder."
"The shell of the UR100 intercontinental missile has been strengthening with the magic making them a super-strong insulating material, with a high-power Tesla magnetic storm circuit attached inside. The missile body has a super-strong Tesla reaction device built into it, which produces an unprecedentedly powerful spherical circulating electromagnetic field; inside this magnetic field is the most important detonation core."
"It is a one-time proton impact device, based on the principle of nuclear weapons, using ultra-high-speed proton collisions to release tremendous energy. The energy generated by this implosion will be compressed to an infinitesimal limit by the Tesla magnetic field. As the remaining matter and energy in the compression process further aggregate and annihilate, a tiny artificial singularity will eventually be generated."
Why am I not surprised at all? Chernov thinks in his heart. Perhaps this is what the threat of war will cause a superpower to do, building one after another super weapon.
"Sounds powerful, but has it been tested?"
"Not yet, that is why I have been waiting for you, the weapon was just finished one month ago, and I also requested to test it on the undead land, but I only received a reply asking me to wait for further approval. I believe it might be because we are just finished dealing with the orcs by that time, worrying that testing it on the undead land will cause a second front."
"Then we will test now, when can we go to the border?"

Chernov nodded his head and followed Semyon to the portal. When walking outside, he sees the tower and thinks of something.
"A month ago, I saw there were changes on the monument inside the motherland, is that your results as well?"
"Yes Comrade General, I believe you understand what the tower did when we siege this city, nuclear protection shield, strong electronics jamming, weather changing. Those that were installed on those monuments were a similar duplicate of the tower, at least they can protect our city from a nuclear attack, or something similar."
Soon, they reach the portal and walk in.
After exiting the portal, they were on a small hill, where they looked at everything down there.
It was a series of complex trenches built with mines, barbed wire, and various types of weapons. Behind these trenches, a huge wall was in construction.
"This is our defence line that is hundreds of kilometres long. There are three of them, and it is obvious to prevent the undead strike." Govorov that has not been talking explained to Chernov.
"These trenches are temporary ones, those walls are only the main line, once it has been done we will withdraw our troops from the trenches. On the wall, we plan to install weapons such as navy fully automatic rotary cannon, close-in weapon system, AK-630, and also anti-aircraft weapon."
"Except for the line, a few kilometres in the rear, we also have more than a hundred thousand of artillery supporting us."
