After realizing that we only exist because the previous rulers of our beautiful little planet were squashed by an almost moon-sized piece of dust, ice, and carbon from outer space, humankind's biggest question—after universally accepting that dinosaurs were awesome as long as they remained dead—was: what if another one of those giant rocks ended up tumbling down toward them?
The first response would definitely be the most common solution we humans have used to solve our problems: blow it to smithereens, only to realize that we lack enough TNT for that.
Many smart solutions surely would have followed after that, but how many of them would really work was still up in the air.
While humanity couldn't test out their countermeasures, they surely experienced what would happen if they failed in the last two days.
Turns out a Garp-level—and dare I say, better—galaxy impact with a much more apt name, coming down in the Land of the Rising Sun with Whitebeard's shocking touch in the mix, wasn't that great of an idea.
At least if the news about the shifted continental belt held any truth.
Mountains cracked. The sky split. Oceans trembled. Yada yada... Though it still didn't develop into a complete catastrophic apocalyptic event, which would lead to all life ending through some sort of horrific chain reaction—from a little tectonic shift to volcanoes erupting, to an ice age, to our planet getting swallowed by some random wandering and very invisible dark hole.
A sound louder than thunder echoed across the world. The ground shook. Tectonic plates shifted. Earthquakes were felt across continents. Buildings collapsed. Tides rose. The sky darkened.
And that was even after Yuta's domain absorbed the majority of the power from that attack. He activated ROFA at 500% power in Prime Time—this time, though, the attack he used was a lot stronger compared to what happened with All For One.
When the dust cleared, Sukuna lay defeated. His body shattered. His presence gone.
Yuta stood in the center of a massive crater, barely breathing, completely drained, and very much passed out after the third use of his ridiculously overpowered trump card—which might have done more damage than good.
All around the world, people watched in shock.
Maki fell to her knees, staring at the sky. "What the fuck did he do?" she whispered.
Yuji clenched his fists, tears falling from his eyes. "Yuta… you better just stay sleeping after this."
Gojo felt the quake. He felt the power of that domain, the craziness that Yuta had, and more than anything—that mountain-side punch when it fell on all of them. And then finally, the destruction around him. "They grow up so fast...," he said with a proud smile and fake tears almost threatening to spill out of his Six Eyes.
Angel raised her head. "Who was that monster?" Her shaky voice almost felt like it was the last of her energy before she passed out—and she wasn't talking about Sukuna here. She certainly wasn't the only one. In fact, many were already knocked out.
The world had changed. The scars of the final battle would remain. But so would the memory of Yuta Hiro—the one who defeated Sukuna.
All around the world, people were confused and scared. A huge earthquake had almost shaken the entire planet. Buildings swayed, alarms rang, and news channels went into chaos. Scientists were shocked. There were no signs of tectonic movement before the quake. It came out of nowhere.
"An unknown seismic wave just hit multiple continents at once," said one scientist on live TV. "We have no explanation yet."
People in cities ran out of their homes. Social media exploded with videos of the sky flashing, birds fleeing, and ocean waves rising. Some thought it was a nuclear explosion. Others thought it was a natural disaster. No one had any answers.
But in Japan, a group of sorcerers knew something had happened—something big. And almost everyone immediately suspected one Gojo Satoru.
Little did they know that this time around, the handsome white-haired devil with childish tendencies had no role to play in this absolute madness that had fallen on the world.
Maki, Gojo, Yuji, Panda, Angel, and the others were sitting near the ruins of the battlefield. In the middle of the crater, Yuta and Megumi were both unconscious, lying side by side. Everyone was waiting for them to wake up.
Shoko Ieiri spent a considerably long time fixing anything that could have been wrong with them. Reverse Cursed Technique to the rescue—arguably the most potent healing power in many shonen anime.
However, even after excessive doses of her healing cursed energy, there was no sign of either of them waking up.
Yuji looked at Yuta and whispered, "I've never seen anything like that. What was that?"
Panda scratched his head. "Are you talking about that over-the-top domain of his or his sudden power-up like he was some sort of anime protagonist, which, by the way, almost broke Japan into two?"
Gojo crossed his arms, deep in thought. "Was he this crazy last time he went Super Saiyan?"
"Hmm, no. It was crazy, but not this crazy."
"So he skipped all Super Saiyan transformations and directly went Ultra Instinct."
"What?"
"Forget it."
Angel nodded slowly. "Even with his domain absorbing most of the blast, the continent still shook. Gods know what would be happening around the world."
Maki looked down. "And the idiot still survived."
"I assume he won't once he wakes up and you're through with him," someone said in an amused tone.
Maki narrowed her eyes, glaring at Gojo, who was acting like he didn't do anything.
Yuji clenched his fists. "Megumi too… I just want them both to open their eyes."
To which Gojo smiled. "Which they will. Eventually."
"However, for the time being, I have to act the teacher's part and make sure that by the time they come back to the world of the living again, the world will be a slightly better place." Gojo smiled and then walked away.
"Where are you going?"
"Visiting some old crooks. It's time they get what's coming to them," Gojo smiled and then disappeared.
"OH, seems the upper management is up for a shock, huh."
"Tsk, wouldn't have minded a go at those fuckers myself," Maki spat. She got up and went to take the two idiots out of the place. They had to transfer them to Jujutsu Tech.
However, just as they were about to do that, Maki—who had just picked up Yuta—felt something strange. A brilliant light suddenly appeared from where Yuta was before. To everyone's surprise and dismay, both were gone.
