Aileen strolled around the picnic park. She looked like she walked normally, but in truth, her body moved without any conscious command. Her mind was preoccupied, thinking of how to purify the dark essence surrounding her. She didn't realize her feet had carried her far from where she was supposed to be.
Just as she exited the picnic area, Guin arrived at the spot where Aileen had stood only minutes before. As expected, no one was there. It seemed that only that could make Aileen face her directly.
Meanwhile, Aileen had just come up with a great idea to complete the mission assigned by her senior priest. But just as she was about to act on her plan, her eyes blinked rapidly.
"Why am I here? Wasn't I just in the park?"
This wasn't the first time Aileen had experienced this phenomenon. Sometimes, she'd find herself in a completely different location than she remembered—without any recollection of how she got there. Worse, she would forget what she had been thinking or doing.
