Chapter 169 - War With Gwarga!

After the exhausting conversation with Yumi, Scarlett dragged herself down the hallway toward her room. Her head felt heavy, and her mind was already half-broken from listening to all that complicated financial stuff.

She finally reached her room and opened the door, hoping for peace and quiet.

But—

"What the—?"

There, clinging to the bed like a cat marking its territory, was Lunatic. She had her face buried in the sheets and was sniffing them deeply with a weirdly satisfied smile on her face.

Scarlett stared blankly.

"Can you not do these creepy things?!" she sighed, walking into the room and closing the door behind her.

Lunatic looked back over her shoulder, completely unfazed, as if Scarlett had just said hello.

"I'm just excited," she said cheerfully. "Before, only Reiza got to sleep here… but now, finally, this room is mine too!"

Her face was glowing with happiness, like a child being told they could have candy for dinner.

"Yeah, whatever," Scarlett muttered, rubbing her temples. "Just leave me alone for a while. I need to rest."

Without waiting for a reply, she lazily pulled off her outer clothes, changing into a soft, loose t-shirt and a pair of tight shorts that hugged her legs comfortably.

Lunatic, who had been watching quietly from the bed, didn't blink even once. Her wide eyes followed Scarlett's every move like a puppy watching its owner. A small trail of drool hung at the corner of her mouth. Though she didn't say a word, her succubus tail was swinging excitedly behind her, curling and uncurling like it had a mind of its own.

Once Scarlett was done changing, Lunatic finally stood up and respectfully moved aside, giving space on the bed. Scarlett plopped down without hesitation, lying flat like someone who had just finished fighting a war.

Lunatic tilted her head. "Do you want something to eat or drink?" she asked sweetly.

"Huh?" Scarlett turned her head slightly, still lying down. "Not like I need to eat or drink… but…"

She stared at the ceiling for a moment, then looked at Lunatic. "Maybe something to drink is fine."

Lunatic's eyes sparkled instantly. "Drink? Do you want alcohol? We've got so many kinds! My favorite is this red-colored one with—"

"No," Scarlett cut her off quickly, raising a tired hand to stop her. "I don't drink. Just… juice, milk, or chocolate milkshake is fine."

Lunatic froze mid-sentence, her mouth still open. Then her eyes widened in sudden realization—like she'd just remembered something incredibly important.

"Ohhh! That's right! The exploration team captured a female unicorn today! I'll bring you her milk!"

And just like that, without waiting for approval or even a goodbye, Lunatic turned around and sprinted out of the room, her tail bouncing behind her.

"Unicorn milk? Hah… I guess that's something you only find in a fantasy world…" she whispered to herself, finally starting to relax.

After some time, Lunatic returned, walking happily into the room with a plate in her hands. On it was a tall glass filled with milk that looked almost normal, but if one looked closely, there was a soft pink gradient swirling inside it like gentle clouds.

"Darling, I'm back\~" Lunatic sang playfully as she skipped toward Scarlett with a bright smile.

Scarlett sat up slowly on the edge of the bed, a little curious. She reached out to take the glass and looked at the strange milk inside. It didn't look magical or glowing like she had expected.

"Not as fancy as I thought it'd be," she mumbled in her mind. "Maybe it'll taste different…"

She brought the glass to her lips and tried to drink it all in one big gulp, hoping to finish it quickly.

But the moment she tilted the glass—

Most of the milk spilled out from the sides of her mouth, dripping down her lips and onto her neck, then soaking her chest and her clothes.

"Why is drinking suddenly so difficult…?" she thought, completely puzzled.

But then, the answer came to her like a whisper from the past.

It was because it had been so long since she last ate or drank anything. Ever since she had been kidnapped and tortured for months, and after becoming a dragonoid woman, she had forgotten the feeling of being hungry or thirsty. She didn't need food or drinks anymore, so her old habits had slowly faded away.

And now, trying to drink again without warning, her body had just messed it up.

"Even though I know I don't need to eat or drink… I should at least practice it now and then," she thought seriously. "What if I embarrass myself at some party or important event?"

She looked down at her soaked t-shirt, which was now sticking to her skin, completely wet. She sighed and turned toward Lunatic.

"Give me a set of clothes from over—"

But she stopped mid-sentence.

Lunatic was standing completely still, frozen like a statue. Her wide eyes stared at Scarlett without blinking. Her blue pupils had taken the shape of little hearts, and her lips were slightly open as she swallowed hard.

Scarlett raised an eyebrow, confused.

"What?"

What Scarlett didn't see—but Lunatic clearly could—was how tempting the scene in front of her had become. A drop of milk still rested at the corner of Scarlett's lips. The milk had run down her neck and soaked her chest in a slow, shiny trail. And because her white t-shirt was now completely wet, it had turned nearly transparent. Her black bra underneath was clearly visible.

It was honestly a good thing Scarlett had even started wearing a bra lately. If she hadn't, Lunatic would've seen way more than she was supposed to.

Still staring, Lunatic slowly reached down and began pulling off her full-sleeved top, her voice trembling with emotion.

"I can't take it anymore… I'm at my limit…"

Scarlett's face froze.

From behind her blindfold, her eyes went wide.

"W-wait, wait, wait! At least wait till night!!" she shouted in panic.

But Lunatic's tail was already swinging wildly in excitement, Ready to do some "Thrashing".

She immediately jumped on Scarlett and forcefully made her lean on the bed while facing the ceiling as Lunatic activated her unique skill.

--------------------

In the territory of the Sixth Demon King, Xulgorath, the sky always looked red, and the air carried a heavy feeling of power and fear. His land ran parallel to the peaceful and bright Kingdom of Mystveil, like night standing beside day.

Inside a grand black castle, filled with red lights and magical flames, Xulgorath lay in his massive bed under soft silk sheets. Around him were many beautiful and seductive demonesses and succubi, their soft giggles and gentle touches trying to make him stay relaxed.

But suddenly—

*Knock knock*

A sound came from the door.

Xulgorath slowly opened his crimson eyes. His long red-orange hair, soft and smooth, spread across the pillow and reached down to his waist. He let out a deep sigh, then slowly got up from the bed, making the demonesses pout as he pulled the sheet away from his muscular, tattooed chest.

With quiet steps, he walked across the room and opened the large, heavy black door.

Standing outside was a strange-looking man with dark grey skin. He wore a neat double-breasted coat with sharp shoulders and black pants. His face was like a horse's—long and flat—with two small curved horns poking out from his forehead.

"Hover?" Xulgorath said, his voice calm but slightly curious.

Hover bowed respectfully and answered with no emotion, "My lord, we have received urgent information from our spies. The Fifth Demon King has decided to attack the Kingdom of Darwitz tomorrow morning."

Xulgorath's expression changed immediately. His eyes narrowed, and a deep frown appeared on his face.

"This idiot…" he whispered under his breath, his voice full of anger. He clenched his teeth tightly, and with one strong motion, he punched the nearby wall, causing cracks to spread through the stone.

"All my plans… wasted," he growled.

But then, after a moment of silence, something changed in his face.

A smirk slowly spread across his lips. His eyes gleamed with dark amusement.

"Well… if he was that easy to control, he wouldn't be a demon king. He'd be a sidekick," Xulgorath muttered to himself, slowly calming down.

He turned back to Hover with a cold but serious look.

"Listen carefully," he said, placing a hand on Hover's shoulder.

"Take the army we prepared and attack the Kingdom of Gwarga. But do it in the name of the Fifth Demon King, Noir. Make the world believe it was his army that launched the attack."

Hover's eyes widened slightly, understanding the gravity of the plan.

Xulgorath continued, "You will lead the army personally. Cause as much destruction as possible. Burn their villages, break their defenses, and make sure everyone knows this was Noir's doing."

He gave a dark, wicked smile as he spoke, his voice dripping with confidence and danger.

Attacking Gwarga wasn't just a random idea—it was the heart of Xulgorath's plan.

Gwarga was the weakest of all human kingdoms. They didn't even have the power to command holy knights to protect them. But because of the alliance between all human nations, every kingdom was required to protect each other from demon invasions.

Especially weak ones like Gwarga.

So if Gwarga was attacked, the stronger kingdoms would have no choice but to send soldiers, weapons, food, and support.

And humans, being greedy and proud, might even use this chaos as a reason to enter the demon realm themselves. They might try to steal land or take control.

This would force the other demon kings to act as well.

It would be the perfect spark for a massive war between humans and demons.

A war that would change everything.

Xulgorath stared out the window now, his face serious and quiet. But deep inside his mind, he laughed to himself.

"And history always repeats itself… Every time a great war begins, powerful people rise. Talents are born—monsters, heroes, and legends. And all I need… is to find the one with the greatest potential and use my ultimate skill"
