Returning to the present...
Carciyan turned back and was shocked to see what was in front of him.
"Sir, go. We can handle this," people said, standing in front of him. He was still in shock and remained there motionless. "Take him NOW!" that person shouted, moving towards their death.
"Go and complete your mission, sir. Give meaning to our deaths," another person followed them to their death. "Don't worry, we are happy as we could do something," another person rushed towards death. "We always respected you and are relieved you moved back then," a person jumped and rushed towards their death.
"You are not responsible for the death of anyone or us, so forget that we ever existed and play your role," another voice turned silent. "Tell me, child, I was brave," silence.
"Tell my parents I am sorry, but I love them," silence. "Tell my wife I love her," silence.
For them, it was the final duty they fulfilled, but for Carciyan, it was something else.
Few minutes earlier, when this all started.
Hundreds of spikes were hanging people present at the edge of his group. A big pool was made from their dripping blood, and they all were just alive enough to feel the pain.
Spikes had pierced their bodies, hanging them in mid-air where they left their shells slowly and calmly for those beasts to enjoy. Thousands of beasts were standing there, drinking the blood of their prey.
As time passed by, they climbed the spikes and started eating the bodies of their partially alive victims.
Some were afraid as their people were eaten in front of them, but they were too weak to even scream.
When a beast finished with a person, they left their half-eaten remains and then found a new victim. When people saw this, they were shocked and afraid, unable to move, but then something changed.
A person started moving towards their death, carrying their rusted item. A blushing energy started to release from that strange item, and it grew in size to a dagger size, but they didn't pay any attention to it and started moving in a continuous motion.
Beasts were doing their job, which was to feed on the fear of their victims, but some of them stopped and looked towards that person. That person wasn't affected even a bit by those beasts' looks, as they had made a decision. With solid determination, they moved forward to their destiny.
Beasts roared and rushed towards them, but they remained unaffected. A beast bit into their left shoulder, but they didn't stop. Their shoulder started to turn dark violet, moving towards their entire body.
Their eyes shone with bluish energy for a second, and then their hands moved at a high speed. Their blade pierced through the beast's spine to its head.
The beast roared in pain. That person quickly moved and beheaded the beast. The beast's head fell a few meters away, still showing some signs of life. In its final moment, it saw that person moving forward. The next moment, its head was replaced by a pool of blood.
During this time, the remaining beasts still feeding on the pinned Yava Viskans stopped eating and looked towards him with anger and greed.
The beasts roared. Every single beast present there started their march toward that man. "I will not fail," he said, pointing his blade towards the herd of beasts. His blade was occasionally flashing with a violet spark, but something was strange about it.
Hundreds of beasts rushed towards him at once, but he wasn't afraid. "Okay," he muttered. Ready to face the consequences of his actions, he closed his eyes for the last time.
His eyes were overflowing with energy, his body's energy, which was a few millimeters thick and stuck to his body, exploded to a few centimeters, taking the form of a flame-like thing wrapped around his body.
The violet energy sparks increased and became more and more frequent. He looked at his blade and then at the beasts, which were hesitating.
His energy suddenly disappeared, and the beasts took this as an opportunity, but he had done the same.
All his energy was directed towards his blade. The few centimeters long blade, or dagger, turned into a small sword. The blade, made from bluish energy, concentrated to a very thin point.
The blade had a pattern of violet color representing the veins of a human body. The veins followed from its handle to the tip of the blade; it felt like they had merged into one.
Beasts bit him, but their jaws lost the power to move. Five to eight lower jaws of beasts touched the ground, and in the next few seconds, their limbs were scattered across the area.
With anger filled with pain, the beasts roared, but their bodies were so weak they could not cry.
"Okay," Swiss said. With that strike, all the Yava Viskan bodies were cut into two equal portions and fell to the ground. With dry tears and a calm smile, they were finally free from suffering.
"Why you... they all..." one of the Yava Viskans said but soon stopped on his own. "Even if they all were... but... but there could be a chance... What will it say to his child, his... his..." He stood from his place.
"I know why. So be it. I am with you," he said, looking towards his friend whose face had a calm smile in his final moment. He moved towards that person who didn't hear a word he said and continued his march forward.
