As a thought flashed through Huo Sining's mind, she shivered, and her originally dazed brain instantly cleared up.
"Who's there?!"
With a light shout, she quickly chased the shadow and ran into the back courtyard, pursuing it all the way to the north side, where she saw the shadow leap onto a section of the wall.
In a hurry, Huo Sining couldn't help but shout, "Uncle Tong, is that you?!"
The figure paused, slowly turned its head, but in the night, Huo Sining couldn't see the person's face, only those deep eyes filled with guilt, remorse, and an indescribable emotion.
Her heart trembled, and just as she wanted to ask another question, the person jumped off the wall and disappeared into the night.
The empty courtyard was swept by cold winds, and Huo Sining, with her mind in disarray, stood there dazedly for who knows how long before regaining her senses and slowly walking towards her grandmother's room.
