Chapter 352 - Chapter 352: This Bald Guy’s Going Too Far!

Chapter 352: This Bald Guy's Going Too Far!

Boom!

The earth trembled violently!

The ground beneath Chen Ye's feet instantly collapsed, shattered by the explosive force.

Before Mera, Batman, Flash, and the others could even react, Chen Ye shot out like a cannonball, charging at Superman with a devastating punch.

The blackened Superman didn't dodge. Instead, he threw a punch of his own, ready to meet force with force!

From the moment he started fighting, Superman had never lost a head-on clash…

As for whether he'd be fast enough?

Right now, speed was the only area where the blackened Superman held an advantage.

In the blink of an eye—

The two collided.

BOOM!

A deafening sound echoed across heaven and earth.

A wild shockwave instantly exploded outward, pulverizing and blowing away everything nearby.

"Bruce!!"

Barry Allen shouted, immediately activating the Speed Force to grab Batman and the others and flee.

Had they stayed too close, the shockwave from Chen Ye and Superman's clash alone could have killed them.

Barry moved fast.

In the blink of an eye, they had already been moved several hundred meters away from the battlefield.

Even then, the shockwave still reached them, sweeping up a blinding cloud of dust.

When the dust settled—

Everyone looked toward the battlefield, only to see the figure of the bald man standing alone.

As for Superman?

No one knew where he had been blasted off to…

"Uh…" Barry Allen couldn't help but say, "Bruce, am I seeing things? Did Clark actually get beaten?"

Batman said nothing.

He just stared blankly at the bald figure, eyes filled with disbelief.

"Damn, I didn't say anything too mean to him earlier, did I?" Deathstroke muttered. "Hope he's generous enough to let it slide…"

His words reminded Mera.

All along the way—

Mera had constantly mocked and ridiculed the bald guy.

But she clearly wasn't one to fear death, as she stubbornly muttered, "That guy's still an ass! With that kind of power, why the hell do we need Superman? We should just storm Darkseid directly!"

No one responded to her.

Barry Allen quietly asked, "Bruce, Clark… he's not really dead, right?"

Wayne finally spoke, shaking his head. "Kryptonians… don't die that easily…"

Almost as soon as he finished—

A sonic boom sounded in the distance.

Whoosh!

A figure flew back from afar and hovered in the air.

It was the blackened Superman!

No doubt about it—Superman's body really was as tough as steel.

That punch just now… Chen Ye had used at least fifty percent of his strength. And yet, Superman wasn't even dead. He didn't even seem seriously injured—just missing a chunk of his suit, revealing his solid musculature underneath.

Truly the Man of Steel!

Right now, the corrupted Superman glared at Chen Ye, his face twisted in fury.

He had never suffered a loss like this before—Chen Ye had thoroughly humiliated him!

That punch might not have looked too bad, but half his body, especially his right arm, was still numb from the impact—he might even have internal injuries.

Superman was furious.

And the consequences would be severe!

His eyes turned an even deeper red, and two massive beams of heat vision erupted, shooting straight at Chen Ye on the ground.

This time—

It was different from his earlier casual blasts.

This was Superman going all out!

But unexpectedly—

The bald man on the ground suddenly vanished.

In the next moment—

A hand appeared behind Superman's head and grabbed his face.

As for those terrifying beams of heat vision—they were effortlessly blocked by that single hand…

The hand belonged to Chen Ye.

He had used Soru, one of the Navy's Six Powers, to instantly shift from the ground to behind Superman.

Let's not forget—Chen Ye could fly, too.

And his flying posture was identical to Superman's.

"Mmrrgghh—"

With Chen Ye gripping his face, Superman struggled violently.

But Chen Ye's strength was far greater—he couldn't break free.

Then—

Chen Ye grabbed Superman and dived toward the earth.

BOOM!

The two of them slammed into the ground like a falling meteor, blasting a massive crater into the terrain.

And then—

Chen Ye straddled Superman and began punching him repeatedly.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Every punch made the ground tremble.

Every punch left Superman dazed and dizzy.

Chen Ye's fists were no joke!

It was only because it was Superman…

Anyone else in the Justice League wouldn't even survive a normal punch—Wonder Woman included.

Very quickly—

The crater grew even deeper.

Even the earth across several kilometers around began to crack from the tremors.

In a short time—

Superman had been beaten bloody. His head and torso were oozing with blood.

And this was with Chen Ye holding back!

Every one of those punches had only used half strength.

If he'd wanted to kill Superman, one Serious Punch from his "kill combo" would've been enough to flatten him in three hits!

Under Chen Ye's relentless onslaught—

Superman didn't last much longer before passing out cold, collapsing in the rubble like a dead dog, completely motionless.

Chen Ye finally stood up and stopped.

In the distance—

Everyone watching wore horrified expressions as they stared at Chen Ye in shock.

They could hardly believe it—a human this powerful existed on Earth?

Was he even human?

The craziest part was, they had lived with this terrifying guy for over a month and hadn't suspected a thing. That was… extremely dangerous.

Thank God this bald guy wasn't a villain!

Moments later—

The carefree Barry Allen was the first to snap out of it.

"Bruce!" Barry whispered, "Clark… he's not actually dead, right?"

Wayne opened his mouth but didn't know what to say.

He had placed all his hopes on reviving Lois—hoping to bring Superman back to humanity's side.

Superman was his last hope.

And now, that very Superman had been beaten like a mangy dog by a total stranger…

Batman Wayne felt like he was dreaming.

At that moment—

Chen Ye suddenly moved.

He grabbed the unconscious Superman from the pit and flew up. When he reached the group, he casually tossed the blackened Superman at Batman's feet.

"Wayne, good thing I remembered your plan and held back in time. This Kryptonian is just unconscious—not dead."

Upon hearing that—

The corner of Batman's mouth visibly twitched beneath his mask.

'If I'd known you were this OP, why the hell would I bother reviving Lois…'

Of course, this was something Wayne only thought to himself. He would never actually say it out loud.

Regardless—

If Superman could be brought back to their side, it would still be a great help.

So—

Wayne knelt down, checked Superman's pulse, and confirmed he was merely unconscious. Then he pulled out the Kryptonite he had prepared and placed it on Superman's body, tying him up with rope.

With the Kryptonite suppressing him, even if Superman woke up, he'd be no stronger than a normal human and couldn't break free.

The others all stared at Chen Ye with reverence.

Barry Allen couldn't help but say, "Chen, I never imagined… you were this powerful…"

Chen Ye waved it off. "If I didn't have a few tricks, how could I call myself Earth's guardian?"

The Joker, always the instigator, grinned and said, "I clearly remember someone dismissing Chen—thought he was dead weight."

As soon as those words left his mouth—

Mera and Deathstroke's faces both changed.

Deathstroke tried to speak, but Cyborg beat him to it.

"They're coming!"

Cyborg had sensed something and looked toward Metropolis.

Everyone looked up.

They saw several alien warships above Metropolis shifting toward them, and countless Parademons screeching as they flew in.

They'd long prepared for the possibility that Darkseid would find them.

After all—

The battle between Superman and the bald guy just now, though brief, had shaken heaven and earth.

If Darkseid hadn't noticed, that'd be more surprising.

Still, as the sky filled with wave after wave of Parademons, everyone felt their scalps tingle.

There were just too many of them.

Endless. Blotting out the sky.

"Shit!"

Deathstroke cursed and drew his weapon, ready to fight.

Mera also raised Aquaman's trident, her expression serious. "This will be a brutal battle!"

Cyborg and Batman said nothing. Their faces were grim.

"There's… way too many. We can't take on this many enemies," Barry Allen muttered, then looked at Chen Ye, full of hope. "Chen, bro! You've got something up your sleeve, right?"

His eyes practically screamed: "Please carry us, boss!"

Chen Ye stared at the sky, expression equally serious.

But it wasn't the Parademons that worried him.

Small fry like them—even in endless numbers—were meaningless to him.

What truly made him wary… was the terrifying presence inside the largest warship. It was something that made even him feel threatened.

"You all better get out of here and hide," Chen Ye said.

Everyone was stunned.

Wayne quickly spoke up, "Chen, are you going to face them all alone? Their numbers… even with your strength—"

He stopped mid-sentence.

Because—

Flames suddenly ignited from Chen Ye's right hand.

Instantly!

The surrounding temperature soared!

The intense heat made everyone nearby visibly uncomfortable.

Even a fool could tell—this flame wasn't ordinary!

Then—

Chen Ye clenched his fist, charged it up briefly, and punched toward the incoming army of Parademons!

This punch—

Used seventy percent of his power!

Whooooosh—

Immediately—

A massive flaming fist formed in mid-air, sweeping forth like a crashing mountain!

BOOOOM!!

It struck one of the alien warships directly.

Then, a blast equal to a nuclear explosion erupted in the sky.

The ship was obliterated instantly.

A massive fireball, over a kilometer wide, ignited the sky.

When it detonated, it unleashed a storm of fire in every direction.

In that moment alone, countless Parademons were incinerated in the inferno…

When the aftermath faded—

An entire chunk of the Parademon horde—nearly a quarter—had been wiped out!

The sight left everyone on the ground stunned.

Some even thought they were dreaming.

They had survived so many battles. They knew exactly how tough these monsters were.

Usually, just a dozen Parademons would give them serious trouble. If there were more than a hundred, they'd have no choice but to run.

Because dragging things out meant the blackened Superman would show up—and then they'd all die.

But now?

Superman was already dealt with, unconscious on the ground.

And the overwhelming Parademon army… seemed completely manageable?

This bald guy—wasn't he just a random stranger Barry picked up outside? Wasn't this a bit too absurd?

"Awesome!"

Barry Allen didn't overthink it. He shouted in delight, "Chen, man! You're amazing!"

"With you here, we're definitely winning this!"

Chen Ye smiled slightly.

Boom!

Flames burst from his right hand again.

Then—

He launched another massive flaming fist!

This time, his target was the largest warship at the center.

Immediately—

A flaming fist, dozens of meters wide, roared toward the sky, blasting straight at the spaceship.

Every Parademon in its path was incinerated.

Just before the fist struck the ship—suddenly, two crimson beams shot out from the warship!

Strangely, these two red beams curved mid-air… and hit the flaming fist dead-on.

Then something eerie happened.

Chen Ye's massive fire punch—was instantly neutralized by the tiny red beams.

It vanished without even exploding.

Seeing this, Chen Ye was stunned, and his expression turned serious.

He was sure—those beams came from Darkseid himself.

They looked similar to Superman's heat vision.

But in truth, they were fundamentally different.

Superman's heat vision was just that—heat-based, capable of cutting and burning, similar to lasers.

But what Darkseid unleashed—was Omega Beams!!

These weren't mere high-temperature or destructive rays. They carried the power of the Omega Effect, capable of outright erasing their target from existence!

Of course, even Darkseid's Omega Beams had limits.

Against powerful opponents or objects of high density, the Omega Beams couldn't erase them outright.

Still—

They were terrifying enough.

Chen Ye's super fire punch was pure energy—which made it the perfect target for Omega Beams.

"Chen! What just happened?"

Seeing his super punch fail, the others were even more shocked than Chen Ye himself.

Barry Allen immediately asked, "What were those red beams?"

After Superman's corruption and Darkseid's conquest of Earth, things had happened so fast…

The Flash and others had never even seen the Omega Beams in action.

People keep asking: which version of DC is this?

Just to clarify, this storyline is based on Zack Snyder's version of Justice League, specifically the final chapter. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it. It absolutely blows the theatrical cut out of the water—it's a true classic!
