"Hmm, baby." Natasha groaned as she woke up to the sound of crying, the crying - coming from none other than Rose - echoed across the apartment. Natasha, who had a leg draped over Harry's leg and was resting her head on his chest, looked up to see him slowly blink his eyes as he exited the land of sleep to return to the land of the living.
"Hmm, baby?" Harry asked with a yawn, his eyes barely open.
"Baby." Sif confirmed in a soft voice as she lifted her head up off the other side of Harry's chest. "Are either of you two going to deal with that?" She asked them in a voice that was part hopeful, part pleading and mostly just tired.
"I'll get her." Harry said with another yawn, this one much deeper.
"Are you sure?" Natasha asked sleepily.
"No." Harry said in a sleepy voice before he slowly got up and walked out of the bed, he walked to the crib that they had set up in the bedroom and gently picked up the crying baby. "Hmm, someone pissed herself." Harry frowned after sniffing her.
"Are you a wizard or not?" Sif groaned before doing her best to go back to sleep.
"Asgardians," Harry scoffed. "you lot can handle nearly anything… except missing a good night sleep." Harry said with a roll of his eyes before he took Rose out of the room and closed the door behind him. "Okay cry baby, let's fix you up." Harry said before his wand came into his hand, with a few quick waves of his wand he had her clean and in a new nappy after having gotten rid of the dirty one. Harry lazily cast a silencing charm to block noise from entering the bedroom. "Mummy's tired enough as it is without you waking her up." Harry told Rose before he walked over to his sofa and sat down.
"Woof?" Harry turned to see Padfoot in his dog basket, the black furred dog raised his head and looked noticeably tired. "Woof? Woof."
"Yeah? Well… when you push an entire puppy out of yourself then you can get the same consideration as Natasha." Harry responded before casting another silencing spell, this one designed to prevent any noise from disturbing Padfoot. Padfoot gave Harry a small glare before he laid his head back down and went back to sleep. Harry snorted before turning his attention back to Rose who was still crying. "You are not going to willingly stop anytime soon, are you?" Harry asked her in a knowing voice. A moment later, as if she actually could understand him, Rose began crying louder. "Of course." Harry said to himself, his thoughts were currently divided three ways.
One of the main things he was thinking about was how much his life had changed in the last few years, it seemed like only a few days ago he was on his own with just Padfoot and the several voices in his head, now he was here with two beautiful women and a baby as well. The second thing he was thinking about was rather common for new parents, he was wondering if he would be a good parent. In Harry's previous experiences with children he did quite well, or at least he liked to think he had, though the only children he had interacted with were all but family in blood so he supposed that might have been a factor in how well they got along. But Rose… Rose was undoubtedly his family, he didn't feel like he was borrowing or trying to steal someone else's, she was his… his life… his world. If he had tried hard before then he would try doubly hard now.
The last thought to occupy Harry's mind was an important one, a very important one: he was wondering if putting a silencing charm on his daughter would make him a bad parent.

The next day Sif lightly yawned as she exited the bedroom, it was nearly always a coin flip between who would get up first between herself and Natasha. On the one hand Natasha was a world class spy who was always ready to respond to a summoning for a mission and liked to wake up early, or at least that's how she normally would be. Sif on the other hand was an Asgardian warrior who was nearly always ready for training, a fight and even training before a fight . But ever since Natasha had gotten pregnant it had nearly always been Sif who had woken up first, though she had no doubt that after some time to recover Natasha would do her best to get back to trying to beat her in their unofficial little competition.
Sif blinked the last few remains of sleep out of her eyes before she spotted Harry and Rose, the sight before her quickly brought a smile to her face.
"Hi Sif." Harry said with a small smile as he held Rose in his arms, gently rocking her back and forth while he was sat on the sofa, Padfoot was lying down in front of them, using his body to keep Harry's feet warm.
"Good morning," Sif said, returning his smile. "after you left the room did you get any sleep at all" She asked, half serious.
"Oh yeah," Harry nodded. "I got like a full three hours… though it might have actually been two. My mind's a bit fuzzy at the moment." He added with a brief frown.
"Aw, you poor baby." Sif said as she walked forwards and planted a kiss on Harry's forehead. "You keep being a father, I'll go and make breakfast for you both." Sif added, only to pause when Padfoot gave her a sleepy bark. "I will go and make breakfast for the three of you." She amended before walking over to the kitchen bar.
"Sif, do you think you and Natasha would like to move?" Harry asked suddenly.
"Move?" Sif stopped and turned to him with a questioning look on her face.
"Yeah, 'move' as in go and live somewhere else?" Harry asked. "I was hoping that maybe you, me and Natasha could take the little bundle of joy here and get a new home."
"Woof?" Padfoot barked questioningly.
"No." Harry shook his head, rolling his eyes as he did so.
"Woof!"
"Yeah, well from now on when I say that, I'm referring to Rose." Harry told him before turning back to Sif. "So… what do you think? I'm thinking maybe a quiet home, surrounded by trees and wildlife."
"Hmm," Sif hummed. "that does sound nice." She said in a voice that bordered on dreamy.
"Best part would be no annoying neighbours." Harry said, half-joking.
"I like the idea of it," Sif replied. "Midgard is a brilliant world, so full of human inventions and various different ways to entertain oneself, but sometimes it feels like the people of this world have forgotten the beauty that mother nature possesses."
"Hmm, most of us have." A third voice spoke as Natasha exited the bedroom, rubbing at her eyes. She let out a small yawn before she walked over and gave Harry and Rose a kiss on the forehead before joining Sif in the kitchen.
"I can make breakfast if you want to rest." Harry offered.
"No, it's alright." Natasha replied, waving him off before she and Sif began making breakfast together. "You stayed up and looked after sleeping beauty, I can endure making breakfast with assisted help."
"You spent a great many months literally carrying a child in you, I think I'm still far behind in the 'who has contributed the most' competition." Harry replied.
"It's not a competition," Natasha said, shaking her head slightly. "though I would clearly win if it was." She added with a small smile. "Harry, I wouldn't have even been able to give birth to Rose if not for you."
"I don't think there are any women capable of giving birth to a child without a man." Sif said with a thoughtful frown.
"Well, technically there is 'in vitro fertilization'," Harry replied. "that is basically a medical procedure where a female's egg is fertilized by sperm in a test tube or somewhere outside of the body." Harry added when Sif looked like she hadn't understood what he saying.
"Really?" Sif asked in a suprised voice.
"Really?" Sif asked in a suprised voice.
"I was actually referring to the fact that I was incapable of giving birth before Harry gave me that potion." Natasha said, very heavily resisting the urge to roll her eyes at the two of them.
"Oh." Sif and Harry said at the same time, sounding as if they had both actually forgotten all about that.
"Children," Natasha sighed. "I am surrounded by adult sized children… and a dog." She added after glancing at Padfoot. "Adult sized children and a dog, that is my life now."
"You do realize that you are in fact the second youngest person in this whole apartment?" Harry asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Not mentally." Natasha replied. "Anyway, we were talking about getting a new house." She said, bringing them back on track.
"I would quite like to move," Sif spoke up. "that's not to say I don't like it here, because I do, but… a new house just sounds… well… nice." Sif finished, not entirely sure how else to describe it.
"We could get Tony to set us up with free internet, TV, laptops and all the other electrical stuff we need." Harry pointed out.
"You're going to use Tony to get free stuff?" Natasha asked, sounding somewhat disappointed, to Harry and Sif it sounded more like she was trying to make herself sound disappointed.
"Yep." Harry nodded easily. "Dude's a walking, talking bank account. He won't mind."
"Well, he did once tell me that he was 'as rich as the heavens'." Sif commented.
"Just don't go overboard." Natasha responded.
"So… no Jacuzzi?" Harry asked.
"…"
"…"
"…"
"…"
"Maybe a little overboard." Natasha replied.
