Rafael scoffed at the sight of what he considered a so-called traumatized victim who appeared more energetic than the previous night.
"I don't fool around with strange women. I was merely curious about you," Rafael replied sincerely, meeting her gaze intently.
Madelyn's sly smile widened yet appearing innocent. "You can't downplay your actions, Rafael. Maybe you weren't satisfied with Erica and wanted to secretly claim your deceased ex-wife biological sister? How dirty of you." she spat provocatively.
"Don't be ridiculous, Margaux. I would never do such a thing. I would never even think it," Rafael reprimanded, his voice thick with disappointment over her accusations.
"Oh…" Madelyn said lightly. "Is it because I remind you of my sister that you toyed with? Maybe I'm just not as beautiful as Erica?" She pressed.
