Chapter 221 - Chapter 221: Confronting The Ruler Of Galespire

Hedon increased his grip on her horn which brought her immense pain as she subconsciously tried to break away from his grip. "Please, to easy on me!" Her tone frail as her eyes were on the verge of tears.

The experience was unfathomably painful to her, equivalent to having her own cranium crushed by sheer force. You should be lucky that I won't crush both of them." A tease which was followed by a hard crunch.

"Argghh!!!" Her shouts of agony reigned through as she was callously dropped to the ground. Hedon crouched down to her level as he extended his arm. "Given me the communication artifact before I break the other." Sascha who was still engulfed with the fact that she had lost a horn immediately fell silent.

"Ah! Yes my liege!" She scurried to her drawer and brought out a dark mana stone. It's shape was diamond making it rather alluring and giving it a classy design. And now it was in the hands of Hedon.

He seemed content with it as he inspected it in his hands before making his way to the exit. 'Finally this monster will be out of my life!' She mused with relief. "However given the fact that you had the thought of having my disciple bothered, you'll naturally pay the price along with Inur."

Her breathes became more raspy and ragged as she saw him make a light snap with his fingers. She immediately couldn't deduce what he had done but after that, he took his leave. 'Finally! Now I can inform the castle about that freak!'

With a faint grunt, she brought out another mana stone however unlike before, she couldn't activate it. 'Wait! I can't use my mana!' Her mind fell into panic before the loud yells shot through the air.

Taking a peek, she saw all the hostages that were recently jailed completely free as they all went their separate ways. Some tried to dash towards the exit, others heading in her direction in the form of an angry mob. She shut the door once more.

'Those animals are going to kill me!' Her demeanor was in shambles as she tried to scavange through her trinkets and find something that could be of any use to her. But alas, it would seem that fate wasn't on her side.

*Boom*

The sounds of her door could be heard broken down and the mob hastily looking around for anything valuable and her as well. "How the tides have turned, huh?" One haughtily remarked as they looked at her defenseless figure. "Oh we're going to have a lot of fun, don't you worry."

Chills ran down her spine upon hearing this but she was heavily outnumbered and overpowered. As for Hedon, he kept on walking deeper into the cave systems as he brought out the mana stone. After infusing it with corrupted mana, it seemed to activate given the light crimson glow it gave.

"What is the matter Sascha to make contact out of your scheduled hour?" The tone on the other side irritated. This isn't Sascha but don't worry, she's in safe hands." The voice on the other end fell silent before demanding.

"It would seem that you fail to comprehend what you have done to yourself with this contact." Hedon brushed it aside as he crushed the stone and trodded deeper. A few minutes later, another set of faint lights could be seen and two guards startled with his presence.

"Wait! Who-" Tired of wasting his time with flies, he killed the two on the spot before removing the barriers with a thought. Unlike the previous camp, this one was less populated given that the cells present were empty. Those which had occupants were bothered to see Hedon walk so casually.

Among those he walked past, he came to a stop as he looked at one in particular. "Halt! Who-" The bursting of flesh like a pimple would occasionally be heard before all the cells were opened. But given a tier six demon was present, those captured preferred to stay in their cages.

A lady who seemed distraught, her figure frail as she glanced at the men in front of her die. However the sight failed to bother her as she had endured much more. Some of the guards escaped to alert the entire castle while Hedon kept on with his pace.

The lady was the true princess of Galespire however her current status failed to convey that.

*Clank*

The sounds of the bars came off and she gave a look at the reason. A demonic figure towered above her, his eyes a deep crimson as a playful smile played on his lips. 'Has she decided to kill me?' Such a thought ran through her mind however the alleged demon didn't kill her but rather shattered the chains that held her hostage.

"Jevona, to think that you would be reduced to such a state. Worry not, you'll be free from this hell." She seemed unfazed by his words as she kept on blankly staring at him. "Just make it quick." Her tone apathetic and lacking any vigour.

"If you wish." Her figure started shaking, as she greedily drew in air however it would seem that she wouldn't grow satiated and the reason being that he warped one of her lungs out of her body as his figure took his exit.

The sounds of her trying to gasp for air audible in her cage as her pace increaser all the more till she hit her limit. She fell to the floor, her eyes landing on his back before her vision went black. 'It's a shame that she wanted death but it was her decision.' Upon exiting her cell, Hedon was bombarded with a barrage of guards.

"You are required to yield-" With a flick of his hands...

*BOOM*

The pressure in the caves was amplified to an astronomical level, the guards in front of him crushed and turned into paste as the stench of blood and iron permeated through the air. It was nauseating given the proper air flow in the shafts but an Overwrite modification was all it took for it not to be a bother to him.

As for the prisoners here and back at the previous station, they all met their gruesome end. Unaware of what killed them made as he went up the stairs to be met with stylish halls that claimed the place.

It was clear that he was in the castle and as a welcoming present prepared for him, he was met with more guards who were visibly scared of dealing with him. The weapons in their arms shaky however they didn't stop him thus he ignored them.

A few steps later, he ran into a squadron of elite soldiers, all on the fifth tier and their leader a demon. "Oh, so it was you who managed to steal the mana stone." Beneath his calm demeanor was fear and shock. 'What is a tier six demonic expert doing a a place like this?!'

Along with his posse, Hedon lifted them all into the air. Like a child curious with blocks, he inverted their bodily joints, their knees, neck, waist, ankles, toes, fingers elbows and all bent the opposite way. Done toying with them, he smudged them all together to form a grotesque mass of flesh which fell to the floor.

The hard scarring sound of bones being twisted into various shapes was impossible to forget. The sight grotesque as bones poking through in weird ways was unforgettable as the rest of the guards stayed away from him, relieved that they didn't bother stopping him.

...

'To think that he would be able to deal with them so easily. This might be precarious as I hadn't expected to meet a fellow tier six demonic expert like myself. The concept of running away isn't ideal given that I've enslaved the entire royal family.'

The sight of a majestic demoness could be seen seated on the royal throne of Galespire. Her eyes shut as she fell into thought before opening them once more. Her eyes jaded green with two black horns sticking out at her temples.

Her grey hair droping down her waist with one leg crossed over the other as she was donned in black and white royal robes. Her demeanor calm as she sensed his figure approaching the throne room.

'It would seem that I will have to abandon all my progress.' She realized given that her intruder was hostile. If not then an amicable conclusion could have been reached which she hoped was the case.

'But what kind of demons would travel around with a little girl? A human one at that?' She had yet to fully comprehend as to why Hedon's would keep a little girl around with him. It would come off as a disadvantage in fights or traveling.

'Maybe he got attached to one? A demon that had a relation with a human.' It wasn't unheard of however both parties would be seen as traitors to their race for engaging in such an act. At her feet was the royal family who too could feel another presence was approaching the royal throne room.

'As if one demon wasn't enough but another is here as well. Did that bitch of a queen start her war so soon?' The king pondered as he gauged whether a fight would ensue between the two. 'It would be better if these two fought giving my family a chance to make out escape.'

The grand doors were pushed open and a figure walked through. His hands pocketed with a single horn on his temple. His demeanor callous as his eyes shone deeply landing on the demonness on the throne before onto the rest of the royal family.

The air was dense as the two strongest in the room exchanged glances before Hedon broke the unnerving silence. "It is most certainly a pleasure to meet you." His tone lighthearted as if he hadn't slaughtered his way here. Farley however wasn't in the mood for a chat.

"You have the nerve o butchering your way here, killing my demons and humans alike not to mention killing off the princess of Galespire. You most certainly do love playing with death."

Hedon let out a light sigh as he glances around. "Death? Please don't humor me with such banter. I'm not here for your kingdom you have or any of the members of the royal family at that." Farley was taken aback by this. 'If he does not want power, then what is his request?'

'For him to barge all the way here with no purpose, it's implausible.' Tilting her head in amusement, she let out a small laugh. "Then what is it that you require?" Hedon decided to play her little game. "I want is you, queen of Galespire."

Not just here but the royal family as well was shocked by this. Farley rose to her feet, the sound of her heels clashing hard onto the marble floor. Her height was surprisingly tall, towering over the royal family, her green eyes locked with Hedon's.

*Whoosh*

Revealing a dark helm rapier, she switched into something more flexible, her entire body coated with a dense corrupted mana that started to spiral out of control. The walls started to give in, cracks forming all over the place.

Her figure took a fighting stance, a stark contrast to Hedon who seemed to be in a completely different place. His demeanor casual given his hands were still pocketed.

*Whoosh*

...

'Huh?' Shyla pondered as she sensed the huge spike in corrupted mana coming from the castle and see the effects. The people outside fell to the ground, as if choked to death as their bodies rotted away, their bodies strewn on the streets.

It was clear that if the situation continued, then the entire kingdom would come to a standstill before meeting it's demise. As much as she wanted to head over, she knew that she had to stay according to Hedon's instructions.

*Bang-Bang-Bang*

Bangs came from her door which made her wonder as to who would take the initiative of coming to their room. 'It must be the people Hedon had warned me about. Finally something exciting.'
