At noon, the sky gradually darkened.

Inside the Mage Tower, chaotic mages let out screams of fear.
They were the first ones to see what it truly was.
Rushing in with a sky-blocking force were the gathered swarms of flies!
But they were not ordinary flies; they were a peculiar insect-race that fell between flies and locusts.
They were black and yellow, possessed red compound eyes like flies, and had the slender bodies and folded hind legs of locusts, along with similar wings and mouthparts. Each was approximately twenty to thirty centimeters long, larger than two adult fists together.
As they flew by, fine, spore-like dust fell from the sky. This turned the sky a dingy yellow, as if a storm of yellow sand was surging.
