"She's up early," he muttered, his voice still groggy.
Curious and slightly puzzled, Alex opened his interface map, pulling up the layout of the mansion. His eyes scanned the familiar layout, searching for Amelia's location. She wasn't far—her marker, along with Frey's, was in the kitchen.
He stretched and yawned, feeling the stiffness in his shoulders ease slightly. "The kitchen? What's she up to this early?" he wondered aloud, his curiosity piqued.
Sliding out of bed, Alex grabbed a loose shirt and threw it on. His bare feet padded softly against the floor as he made his way toward the kitchen.
