Sylas had little mercy on the Duchess' body—not that it mattered much. With the gap between their raw physical stats, it would have been quite difficult for him to hurt her even if he had the intention to do so, let alone now.
However, it was hard to say if that would last for very long at all. And even if he could hurt her… what wasn't hard to say at all was that he would care very little.
Even now, he didn't know what this woman's name was or if she was truly known as the Duchess. All he could feel was how tightly she wound around him, how wet she felt, and the different sensations gripping him.
And yet, he almost instantly decided that Cassarae tasted far better. There was a certain wildness to his wife that he could hardly get enough of—the way they fit together like a glove, how even when her body had reached its limits and couldn't continue on, her Will would still burn on like an endless ember.
Maybe that was the real differentiating factor.
