The Near East Technician approached and handed the repaired Sakura Passing to A40, the entire weapon looked even sharper than before it was damaged. A999's weapons were all destroyed and then recycled.
"How nice." A40 twirled the blade in its hand, leaving A999 only to watch.
In the factory, there was the hum of machines and the clanging of metal everywhere. The post-battle reconstruction work required a vast amount of materials; countless robots were repaired and manufactured here.
A40 observed with a hint of reverence the more advanced design paradigm of A999, which appeared more human and had a body that was more lightweight and compact. Taro Tanaka's work was impeccable. A999, as the last Class A Synthetic Human, was indeed perfect, reaching the upper limit for these robots.
"You are a worthy opponent, reliable in battle," A40 admitted.
"...You too," A999 and A40 shared mutual respect.
