"You're drinking again?"
Ye Ling stood at the doorway, looking at her in this state; it was evident she had been drinking, so much that she couldn't even stand up.
"I didn't drink."
Ji Yue obviously wouldn't admit it. Knowing he disliked her drinking, only a fool would confess. Besides, she had hidden the evidence. As long as she denied it steadfastly, there was nothing he could do.
Ye Ling entered, scooped Ji Yue off the ground into a princess carry, and she instinctively clung tightly around his neck.
If she had known that acting like this would make him carry her, she would have done it much sooner.
"If you didn't drink, why are you crawling on the floor?"
Ye Ling felt a mix of heartache and helplessness looking at the girl in his arms.
He just couldn't understand her love for drinking; what was so good about alcohol? If she had to choose between him and alcohol, he suspected that for her, alcohol would win.
