"Say it again for me."
Ji Yue lay in Ye Ling's arms, cooing softly and fiddling with his hair.
"I won't."
Ye Ling turned his head away, afraid that one glance at her would make him give in and speak the words she longed to hear.
He had already said it three times that day, which was his limit. He wouldn't say it again, not even if he were beaten to death.
"Just once more, I want to hear it, please?"
Ji Yue hugged his head, turning to look directly into his eyes.
She just wanted to hear him say he liked her, she could never get enough of it.
"No."
Ye Ling shook his head definitively, refusing.
He couldn't understand why she was so eager to hear him say he liked her. He had said it three times already, and each time he was so nervous. He didn't want to experience that feeling again, where his heart nearly leapt out of his chest. He had confessed his love to her and she loved him back. There was no need to keep saying "I like you."
"Say it, I want to hear it, come on."
