The two children were playing in the yard, and Ye Xi had a chat with Adong's dad about work.
Adong's mom came out from inside and brought some freshly made snacks to the children's hands, asking Ye Xi, "Are these kids from your relative's family? They look a bit like you."
Ye Xi felt somewhat embarrassed, but could only respond, "No, they're my friend's children. Their parents are too busy, so they temporarily entrusted me to help take care of them."
"Oh, I see. But the child is really good-looking."
Ye Xi's heart softened upon hearing this.
The two little ones were not yet over their excitement after finishing the fireworks in their hands.
Adong's dad had no choice but to take them back to the village's small supermarket, hoping to buy some more.
With Adong's dad looking after them, Ye Xi was able to slip away and head back home.
