Wufu left the Blacksmith Shop, and Jadeite had been holding back until they returned home before she couldn't help but ask.
"Miss, knowing full well that this is a hot potato, why did you accept them?" asked Jadeite.
Wufu glanced at her with a half-smile, "Not holding back anymore?"
"Miss!" Jadeite stomped her foot.
Wufu set down her teacup and said, "Jadeite, your miss is too weak!"
Jadeite was startled.
"Look at our home, a house of orphans and widows, and on top of that, a mother and daughter, without power or influence. Even if we have wealth, if others become aware of it, it's not a good thing; on the contrary, it's like summoning death," Wufu spoke indifferently. "To stand my ground in this world, wealth alone isn't enough, I need power; I need the ability to safeguard and protect my possessions.
