Chapter 9 - Chapter 2: Verse II

VERSE II

The silence, uncomfortable.

The air pricking, seeming to sting his skin.

There he knelt, enveloped in wow and sorrow.

His main reason for coming back to earth, hath just been compromised.

They had successfully won this quiet battle against him.

The feeling left a taste, sour and crude.

His hair , kissing his forehead , glued to his sweat.

His heart was pounding and it ached him as it beat upon his rib cage.

His arms felt numb, as he see or speak no longer.

" You can't even talk to me?". Kato got fixated on her tone. It had a hint of sadness and disdain.

Now, kneeling before his sister, he raised his hands above his heads like receiver.

There was nothing he could do.

The cave somehow had no sand, only grass and weirdly cemented grounds.

" Brother...." Kato felt his hands being held by a cold slender one.

He was taken back, his sister never had this type of hands nor even that absurdly low amount of temperature on her hand.

She might be loosing blood. Neither he nor how can effectively use sign language.

..

There is a reason, a issue, a problem... that he can't fathom about this cave.

His only thoughts were scrambled by divinity in his presence.

" I saw you brother... I saw everything!.". His hands slumped from Yuki's.

She has been successfully exposed to life.

" Brother, twenty years in the spirit realm is quite tiring ".

At that instant, Kato instantly raised his head to the direction of the tone.

He became extremely confused and scrambled.

Trembling terribly as his hands fell to the ground.

He bowed his head upon his arms.

What is this?. What was this?. He kept repeating statements over and over in his mind.

The deities as shown Yuki everything. He never expected them to go that far.

Those twenty years are the worst years of his life.

He couldn't accept what she said was true.

There is nothing to decipher here.

Nothing at all, so if they had shown her that past. Does that mean she is aware of his judgement?.

No, he doubts that.

They aren't stupid or desperate enough to do that.

Right?.

" Kato, "

The soft voice seemed to warm his soul. Pleasing to the ears like the sound from the harp.

..

" His face was held between her palms,

He burdened with sorrow,

She endeared him in her love,

But he gave it away."

..

Yuki looked upon her blind brother. A text she had received just now by a messenger angel, the poem.

What meaning does it seek to unfold?

She intends to suffer her brother no longer, She had seen everything.

There is now a plausible reason for his extreme manipulative behavior, all occuring in just one day.

As ludicrous as it seemed, she thought he had learned about someone in the history texts.

No!.

Even if she felt uncomfortable around her brother from that day on, she still loved him so.

But what should she do now,

If she goes against the divinity, she would be stripped of righteousness and face even worse fate than Kato as a traitor.

Kato has been deemed a slave, and that alone fueled her rage.

She still has a score to settle with Goddess Amaterasu.

She looked upon her tattered self, her skin galled by felling trees and hot rocks.

But more surprising, her brother was still alive.

Despite his body split in half, he is before her reattached.

She could only keep staring at him.

She loves her brother so, and nothing would change that.

But she needs to take revenge, she finally understood why Amaterasu did this.

It was for no small reason, they had totally destroyed her brother's life.

Without redemption, everything is condemned.

Yet, redemption would somehow be stripped..

Stripped from the man whom has reason for everything, one who actually bows down to surrender.

Her brother had made a sacrifice, a doomed one just for her.

She doesn't intend to make it go to waste, but these deities weren't something worth serving.

Stuck between her brother's sacrifice and her choice,

She knelt down , her skin instantly torn up by the dirt underneath.

If she wants to kill Amaterasu, she has to do it without divinity.

A mere mortal like her would get her divinity reliant gift taken from her and she, sent to purgatory.

Neither can she play double cards or even step upon another path under the eyes of the gods.

She looked at the cave entrance, black sooth and smoke slowly dying as water dropped from the sky in heavy pellets.

A befitting end for destruction caused on the earth.

Water streams of black soot broke out soon, and some made their way into the cave.

Another symbolism of this rain, and she knew it.

She had seen her brother in that realm of judgement,

not by the powers of the gods but by a power she knew not of.

She had watched his body's halves conjoin, whilst seeing is state in that malignant realm.

And it somewhat repelled divinity perfectly!.

She couldn't understand this, as no power has every repelled divinity, not even evil nor the power of devils and destroyers.

But the fact this existed made her intrigued.

This was a power, she had.

Her hope of killing divinity and then restoring free will to her brother.

But the consequences would be severe, ... as killing gods would disrupt the balance in life and death.

As well, she won't be able to pursue her favorite thing...

Finally getting everyone to understand what justice is or even exerting it.

Yuki stared at her brother, of whom sobbed softly.

Blind and speechless, she raised her brother and hugged him tightly.

She had to, to make him feel loved again. To give her brother rest after years of pain and suffering.

She still couldn't believe her brother's compounded age of twenty nine.

Even in that spirit realm, her brother was subjected to torture, ludicrous assignments and immoral relationships.

Immorality with a fallen angel and demi Goddess in his tenth year stay in the spirit realm.

Given a task, by the House of Omi to poison and kill these deities.

The female fallen angel whom was guard to the demi goddess, was taken out by Kato.

Before being called by the demi goddess, and killing her while vulnerable in their act.

Nonetheless, her brother before her was skilled enough to even kill a demi goddess despite her tough battle with him as he had lost half his body.

She could revision it along with the wars he had conjured, and death upon countless innocent lives.

He was forced to do so, and her brother had slew himself more times than he had gone to war.

Each time revived and punished.

No, now she has fully decided. The gods won't the same to her brother.

It might take time but she would stop it,

She stared at her palm, trying to manifest the power that repelled divinity.

Her skin went pale and cold, the blood in her veins stopped flowing.

Devious strains were placed upon her.

And she manifested the power,

A white flame , with flickers and vibrant colors of dark ash , light grey and a pitch black outline of the flame.

Yeah, she would stop it.
