At that moment, several kilometers south of the Titans' position, the ground trembled violently and split open. Soon, an enormous Godzilla—like a true mountain—burst from beneath the earth.
When it saw the headless body of the juvenile Godzilla and the four Titans standing around it, a mixture of rage and sorrow flashed across its enormous face.
Once the giant Godzilla fully stabilized itself, Quan Ling's display screen performed a scan, displaying brief but telling data: a height exceeding 300 meters, a weight over 300,000 tons.
The numbers suggested that this Godzilla was "only" about three times larger than the juvenile. However, Intelligence had previously warned them that a giant Godzilla's atomic breath could effortlessly reach orbital targets. Earth's human population had even considered escaping to Mars or Titan within the solar system to avoid this species. But fearing that Godzilla might be capable of reaching and destroying even nearby planets, they had ultimately chosen to flee the solar system altogether.
Unfortunately, the interference of the Exif had stranded their fleet for twenty Earth years, unable to locate a habitable planet.
So now, as she faced the giant Godzilla, which dwarfed her Titan by three times, Quan Ling was on full alert. She maneuvered her Titan, equipping all four of its mechanical arms with 1200mm Gauss rifles and a powered greatsword. Using the anti-gravity field and rear thrusters, she quickly closed the gap, giving orders to the other three pilots.
"Deploy in Beta formation as we practiced," she commanded, "and coordinate with Leviathan to secure Earth's liberation!"
"Yes, Colonel!"
Receiving their responses, Quan Ling addressed the Leviathan's bridge over the comms.
"Leviathan, disregard safety range—commence fire on the target!"
"Understood, Colonel."
As the comms officer on the Leviathan replied, the giant Godzilla, towering over 300 meters, seemed to frown with disdain, as if dismissing the Titans' approach as a foolhardy gesture.
It barely took a moment to charge before unleashing a breath that warped space itself, bathing the Titans in a deadly atomic wave interspersed with electric currents.
Yet when it closed its mouth and the breath attack subsided, it was taken aback: the Titans were still advancing, unscathed.
To Godzilla, this was unthinkable. Neither its juvenile offspring nor any of Earth's other giant creatures could withstand its attack. And yet these human-made machines had endured?
In truth, while Godzilla possessed considerable intelligence, it could not have known in advance that the Titans were equipped with energy shields and magnetic displacement fields. Quan Ling and her team, shielded by these defenses, immediately shifted formation. She and Titan Two veered left, closing in from the side, while Titans Three and Four charged head-on.
Simultaneously, the four Titans unleashed a barrage of firepower. Timing their attack, the Leviathan rained down electromagnetic rounds, plasma blasts, and a hail of metal-hydrogen missiles from the darkening skies above.
Boom! Boom!
Miniature suns, high-energy plasma, and armor-piercing spikes hammered into Godzilla's massive form. In seconds, it was subjected to an onslaught of saturation-level bombardment.
Before the creature could let out an enraged roar, Titans Two, Three, and Four engaged their shields at full power and charged into the lingering smoke. The three Titans continued firing their 1200mm Gauss rifles and plasma cannons at close range while thrusting their powered greatswords into Godzilla's hide.
Quan Ling's Titan, meanwhile, used the cover to slip around to Godzilla's exposed back, waiting for the perfect moment.
"Colonel!" Titan Two's pilot called over the comms, signaling Quan Ling.
Without hesitation, Quan Ling directed her Titan to strike with maximum force, driving her powered greatsword into Godzilla's spine—the very source of its protective biological field.
With a violent hum, plasma fields clashed against Godzilla's defenses. But with its shield already weakened by sustained attacks from the front, side, and above, the back defenses finally failed to repel the greatsword.
Squelch!
"Roaaarrr!"
The creature let out a pained, guttural scream as the blade pierced its tough hide, and its vital back was destroyed, nullifying its protective field.
With the shield down, Leviathan ceased its bombardment.
But Quan Ling and the other pilots showed no intention of stopping. Seizing the opportunity, they unloaded what ammunition remained, firing Gauss rounds and plasma blasts at point-blank range, while their swords carved into Godzilla relentlessly.
Only once the giant creature was literally torn apart, with nothing left but dismembered chunks, did they finally stop.
Quan Ling landed her Titan on the ground, gazing down at the defeated Godzilla now reduced to a massive puddle. After a moment of silence, she opened the comms to report to all units:
"This is the Titan Mech Unit. We have successfully eliminated Earth-Two's apex creature. It appears the creature may have been the leader of its species. With its death, Earth-Two is liberated, and our mission to bring this world under company control can be completed ahead of schedule!"
Feeling a sense of relief, Quan Ling had her Titan emulate the movement of taking a breath. With the giant Godzilla neutralized, the unification of Earth-Two was now in its final stages. From here, Engineering could begin extensive reconstruction, establishing Earth-Two as a fully habitable colony.
According to Intelligence, every advanced civilization in this universe had, at some point, birthed Godzilla-like creatures to "reset" progress, so Atlas would still need to guard against similar threats in the future. And then, there was the Exif's revered "god"—Ghidorah.
With Ghidorah confined to another dimension, Quan Ling knew they couldn't launch a preemptive strike against it, and she doubted whether Titans alone could match such a creature.
But she quickly dismissed those concerns. The company had the resources to handle any threat, and as a "regular employee," all she had to do was execute her assignments.
After all, her direct superior, Magnus, would likely find it easy to "handle" a multi-dimensional Ghidorah.

Meanwhile, in Universe 10 (the Terminator universe):
In the Los Angeles forward base, preparations were underway for a large-scale mobilization. Unlike the base in the Godzilla universe, this one had minimal underground structures since Earth's air, while harsh, was still breathable.
On the base's exposed landing pads, numerous transports, interceptors, escort craft, and strike units were assembling. Rows of clone soldiers in identical gear were filing into Luna transports in a perfectly ordered procession. Upon entering the craft, they activated magnetic locks on their boots and engaged stabilizers on their exoskeletons, maintaining impeccable formation and complete silence.
In contrast, AECS troops clad in MICP-powered armor walked toward the waiting Pelican squadron, casually conversing with helmets retracted. Members of the experimental unit—including David, Lucy, and Rebecca—wore upgraded armor, adding titanium alloy plating for enhanced battlefield endurance.
The mission? A full frontal assault.
With Intelligence assistance and surveillance from Paris-class frigates in low orbit, they had pinpointed Skynet's primary facilities in what used to be the northern United States. To eradicate Skynet once and for all, the plan was to launch simultaneous strikes on Skynet's key locations, including research hubs, network centers, and human holding camps.
Following a recent encounter with an airborne Hunter-Killer, the human resistance, led by a legendary figure named John Connor, had established contact with Atlas. Initially skeptical, Connor accepted Atlas's story of being a trans-dimensional military-industrial entity after viewing footage of their AECS units' firepower, decimating T-600s and Hunter-Killers with ease. Testimonies from rescued survivors bolstered Atlas's credibility.
However, the talks between Connor and Soap MacTavish, the forward base's commander, met with resistance on one key point—Connor refused to join Atlas's full-scale offensive on Skynet.
Soap was perplexed; the human resistance was desperate for weapons, fighters, and supplies. With Atlas's support, they should have seized the chance for a decisive assault.
Yet Connor was resolute, though he offered a compromise, saying, "The resistance will proceed as usual. We won't hinder your actions."
Soap grudgingly accepted and divided Atlas's forces to target Skynet's major facilities across the northern territories. Unaware of Connor's deeper concerns, Soap couldn't know that the legendary leader was himself a paradox, an existence created by time loops. Connor worried that a premature final assault by Atlas might unravel this delicate timeline, though he wasn't concerned for his own survival.
Atlas's combat footage had shown Skynet a taste of their capabilities, and now the Resistance was mobilizing globally, drawing Skynet's attention and indirectly aiding Atlas's offensive.
With two thousand new clone soldiers arriving at the forward base, Soap and Serene coordinated with Celine to deploy all combat units, finalizing their attack plan.
At 18:00 Pacific Time that day, the final assault on Skynet began.
---
Outside, Xiao Qiang, clad in advanced combat gear, walked with Serene, dressed in a standard employee uniform, toward a waiting Luna II transport. Behind them were several vanguard members, including Scarecrow and Zero, along with the experimental unit's recruits, David, Lucy, and Rebecca. Two androids followed at the rear.
Xiao Qiang and his team's mission was to ensure the safety of Serene. As one of Atlas's most advanced intelligent AIs, Serene was assigned to directly engage with Skynet and potentially assume control of all Skynet units across
the Terminator universe.
High-level hackers like Lucy and two androids accompanied her to assist in this monumental task.
