"Worry not. He can live for centuries now—you won't have to worry about him dying anytime soon."
Willie grinned as he casually slung an arm over Lawrence's shoulder. "Thank me later."
But instead of celebrating, Lawrence's expression darkened.
In one swift motion, he shoved Willie back and drew his sword, pointing the blade directly at his chest. Willie froze, startled.
"Whoa, hey—what the hell?" he asked, blinking in confusion.
Then he saw it—tears silently slipping down Lawrence's cheeks.
"Lawrence…?" Willie said more carefully this time, his voice dropping.
But Lawrence didn't let him finish.
"How am I supposed to face my brother and sister-in-law now?" he shouted, voice cracking with emotion. "Their only son—he won't ever reunite with them in the afterlife. He's trapped here. Forever!"
