Amir's grandparents, of course. Specifically, his grandmother. They had told him to reach out, and now was the time. He wasn't sure if he wanted something custom or something that he could customize. He had no idea. He'd never had to buy a ring before, he just wanted to get something that would make Maxwell happy.
It was also a quiet declaration of intent that he knew would get back to Maxwell's parents. He didn't think that Maxwell's parents would be upset that Andrew and Maxwell were taking the next step. They were the ones who had been joking about when to hold the wedding, but Andrew was just nervous. Any man, hell, any person would be when the news of their intentions towards one of in-law's kids became known.
