The training chamber was eerily silent.

Luffy stood alone, his fists clenched, his breath steady.

Jin Mori had vanished. His training was over.

The battle had pushed him beyond his limits, sharpening his instincts, refining his movements, and evolving his Divine Fist into something unparalleled.

Yet, he could feel it.

Something was missing.

A faint, elusive presence lingered at the edge of his consciousness. A whisper of a new sense, something beyond mere instinct.

It wasn't Observation Haki.

It wasn't Future Sight.

It was something more.

A power unshackled by logic. A sense beyond the system's control.

Luffy exhaled sharply.

"If I can grasp this... I will reach a whole new level."

He made a decision.

For the next month, he would do nothing but cultivate it.

So, Luffy sat cross-legged in the vast empty space of the chamber.

No movement. No combat. No distractions.

Only silence.

He replayed his battles with Yujiro Hanma and Jin Mori in his mind.

Every punch. Every kick. Every movement that had pushed his body to its absolute limit.

That fleeting feeling—a strange, almost supernatural awareness—had surfaced in those desperate moments.

Yet, every time he reached for it, it slipped away like mist in the wind.

Days passed. Then weeks.

And yet... he remained stuck.

Frustration built inside him, but he forced himself to remain calm.

He knew this was something that couldn't be forced.

It had to be felt.

It had to be awakened.

A full month passed and yet, even after all that time, he couldn't fully grasp it.

Luffy scowled. He had never struggled with growth before. His system always granted him power when he reached the requirements.

But this was different.

This power wasn't something that could be sealed by system restrictions. It didn't rely on numbers or stats.

It was beyond that.

"Maybe..." Luffy thought. "Maybe this can only be awakened in the heat of battle."

And there was only one opponent left.

"System," Luffy commanded. "Summon my next opponent."

A blinding pillar of light erupted, stretching endlessly, consuming everything in its radiance.

For a moment, Luffy felt nothing.

No sound. No sensation. No presence.

Just... emptiness and then...

BOOM!

An invisible shockwave rippled through the chamber, splitting the very fabric of space.

The light condensed.

From its core, a figure emerged.

A simple man.

Bald

Wearing a plain yellow jumpsuit with a white cape fluttering behind him.

His red gloves rested at his sides.

His boots were planted casually on the ground.

No aura. No energy.

Just a man.

And yet Luffy's entire body screamed in warning.

His instincts—the ones sharpened by endless battles, forged through pain and struggle—roared at him to run.

But there was nowhere to run.

Because before him stood a true anomaly.

A being that defied reason, surpassed logic, and existed beyond limits.

Saitama.

The Caped Baldy.

A monster among monsters.

His lifeless, almost bored expression gave nothing away, but Luffy knew that he had never faced anything like this before.

His fists clenched. His heart pounded.

Sweat gathered on his brow, even though Saitama hadn't moved.

Even though he felt nothing from him.

And somehow that was what made him the most terrifying opponent of all.

And in the next moment, he was proven right.

Luffy attacked first. His Haki roared to life as it coiled around him, moving like snakes of thunders. Luffy charged at Saitama and began his attack with the strongest attack in his arsenal.

The Divine Fist!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Each strike ripped through space itself, distorting reality as Luffy went all out—but none of them landed.

Saitama stood still with the same bored expression.

And then, he moved.

BAM!

Luffy's world exploded into pain. He did not even realize when his body shattered like glass. His entire being was obliterated.

Darkness swallowed him.

He did not have the time to be shocked before he was respawned.

Luffy gasped, sitting up in the chamber's white void. His body was whole again—but the memory of that pain still lingered.

"Tch." He clicked his tongue.

"Again."

----

For the next three months—

Luffy died.

Over. And over. And over.

Saitama never changed.

He never used his full power.

But every time Luffy attacked, the outcome was the same.

He got destroyed.

His strongest attacks? Useless.

His Observation Haki? Worthless.

Even using his Rumble-Rumble Fruit, Warp-Warp Fruit, and his strongest Haki-infused techniques... None of it mattered.

Saitama's Serious Punch had no counter.

It was absolute.

Not even Luffy's Divine Fist could compare.

For the first time, Luffy truly felt what it was like to be weak.

To be helpless.

There was even a moment where he thought. Maybe I should admit defeat.

The thought disgusted him.

Luffy scolded himself viciously.

What kind of king thinks like that?!

What kind of fighter gives up?!

I am Monkey D. Luffy! I am the man who will surpass all limits!

He gritted his teeth and refused to break.

And then, it happened.

During one of their battles—he felt it. Something inside him snapped open.

It wasn't like Future Sight.

It wasn't like any form of Observation Haki.

It was deeper.

A sense that transcended time.

A state of existence beyond mere prediction.

Luffy suddenly moved without thinking.

Saitama's punch came.

And this time, Luffy didn't dodge because he saw it.

He dodged because his body already knew.

BOOM!

The shockwave from Saitama's fist missed by an inch.

Luffy's eyes widened in disbelief since his body had dodged before the thought even appeared.

I—dodged?!

For the first time, he had avoided Saitama's attack.

And in that moment, Luffy finally understood.

This wasn't Ultra Instinct.

It wasn't some predetermined technique or system skill.

This was a new sense.

Something beyond limitations. Something that could never be sealed.

A power that was truly his own.

And with it—he was finally ready.

Luffy stood, his body feeling lighter than ever before.

His eyes burned with newfound clarity.

His heart thundered with indomitable will.

He looked up at Saitama, grinning.

"Alright, Baldy." He cracked his knuckles. "One more round."

Saitama blinked and for the first time, he looked... interested.

Luffy's coat fluttered behind him, his battle spirit blazing like an unquenchable fire.

And the real battle began.

Luffy's muscles tensed as he launched himself forward, the ground beneath him cratering from the sheer force of his movement.

His fists blurred—strikes faster than lightning, stronger than steel.

A flurry of blows aimed directly at Saitama's head, each one reinforced with Conqueror's Haki, Armament, and the raw force of his Divine Fist.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

His fists connected.

Each hit sent shockwaves rolling through the chamber, tearing up the ground beneath them.

And yet, Saitama just stood there, taking it head-on.

His head tilted slightly, effortlessly dodging the next punch by mere inches. Then another. Then another.

His expression didn't change.

With a timely Warping, Luffy vanished, appearing directly behind Saitama with a spinning heel kick.

Crack!

The kick landed squarely against Saitama's side.

For the first time, the bald hero's body actually shifted from the force.

Luffy's heart pounded in excitement.

But before he could celebrate Saitama turned his head.

His fist was already coming.

Fast?

Luffy barely had time to react. His instincts screamed. He twisted, ducking at the last possible second.

WHOOSH!

The air exploded behind him.

Saitama's punch had missed—but only barely.

The shockwave alone sent cracks running through the chamber walls.

Luffy skidded back, panting, eyes wide.

That... that would have killed him.

Saitama blinked, looking at his own fist.

Luffy on the other side, wiped sweat from his forehead, exhaling sharply.

Saitama with zero warning was in front of Luffy. His fist was coming straight for his face.

Luffy barely had time to cross his arms.

BOOOOOM!

The impact sent him rocketing across the chamber, crashing into the far wall.

Dust and debris rained from the impact.

Silence.

Followed by a burst of laughter.

From the rubble, Luffy staggered out. His body ached, bruised, and battered. But his grin never faded.

"Damn... you're really something else."

He cracked his neck, fire burning in his eyes.

"Let's go again!"
