He headed into his room once more and carried out a stool, placing it under the flickering bulb.
But when Jidenna's palm touched it, he let out a confused hum.
It was strange. Weren't bulbs supposed to be hot as they generated heat because of the light?
That's common knowledge, right? Jidenna cocked his brow in confusion.
Even if they weren't that hot, at least they were supposed to be warm. How come…
He paused, his voice fading off.
He faced the bulb when he brought his palm forward to touch the body. An icy chillness was what he came into contact with. It rushed up his fingers, sprouting goosebumps in its wake.
The bulb wasn't hot, nor was it warm or even lukewarm. It was cold, generating an unnatural iciness that shouldn't be.
"As expected of a prestigious university; even the bulb is different," Jidenna tried to make a joke out of it, but the corners of his lips were stiff, not going up at all.
His heart began to race.
