The Sect Hall looked more stunning than ever that day. Two long parallel rows of tables were set, and cute girls in stunning dresses occupied the seats, all looking more feminine than ever before.
Veronica – who sat at the top of the table – had seated Theo by her side, and the older disciples surrounded him. They didn't follow the usual hierarchy-based seating arrangement since the sect was much more like a family and a haven for women than a strict, competitive organization. Usually, the sect leader would have a separate table in a higher position on a small stage.
With Theo at her right, Veronica allowed Maria to sit to her left, while Elara was granted the coveted place beside him.
It was a subtle gesture of care from the sect leader, knowing Elara had endured months without Theo's attention and likely longed for the one who'd first welcomed her. Due to her strength, nobody could complain about her position.
