Chapter 75 Next Day
The second guard hesitated—but only briefly. He drew a short blade and charged.
Karn caught a chair with his foot and kicked it upward into the man's chest, stunning him. In the next instant, Karn grabbed the man by the collar, lifted him off the floor, and flung him across the room like a sack of grain. He slammed into a support beam and slumped to the ground, groaning.
Silence fell.
Karn turned to face Varun.

Varun's face had turned from red to pale in seconds.
In fear, he said, "You... You will regret this," he spat. "My father will hear of this."
Karn stepped closer, calm and composed, and replied, "Then I'll be sure to tell him the truth. That his son threatened a guest in a public place, started a fight, and lost."
Varun's mouth opened, but no sound came out. Then, gathering what little dignity remained, he turned on his heel and stormed out.
His guards stumbled after him.
