Might Guy couldn't hold back his curiosity and kept questioning Kakashi as soon as he stepped out.
It had to be said that Might Guy couldn't hide anything in his heart.
"Guy, don't you understand yet?" Kakashi, hearing Might Guy's rambling, suddenly stopped and his expression grew serious.
"Konoha just wants to capture the Wood Release ninja. As for protecting him from harm, that's just a joke or an excuse!"
Kakashi now understood why Genya didn't trust the higher-ups in Konoha. With such a hypocritical attitude, how could they be trusted?
Kakashi also knew that Konoha had been researching the First Hokage's cells. When Hayashi arrived, he'd probably end up being another test subject.
"An excuse?" Might Guy paused, then looked at Kakashi, his expression becoming serious. "It seems the village's goal for capturing the Wood Release ninja is the same as the other villages, right?"
Might Guy said this while keeping his gaze on Kakashi.
Kakashi nodded, and Might Guy's expression turned completely grim. "I see. If that's the case, why should we even go on the mission? Maybe we should just not go."
Might Guy was a person of strong justice. He could sacrifice for Konoha, but he couldn't bring himself to hurt others for no reason. He wouldn't stoop to that level.
"If you don't go, the village will send others to do the mission. But if it's like that, it's better if we go!" Kakashi looked at the impulsive Might Guy and spoke again. He took another step forward.
"I'll observe the Wood Release ninja's actions. If he hasn't done anything harmful to Konoha, then whether we capture him or not, it's up to us."
"Right, we don't have to capture him!" Might Guy's eyes lit up, and he quickly followed after Kakashi. "Should we inform Kurenai Yūhi, so we can discuss our next steps?"

"Yes, their talent in taijutsu and ninjutsu!" Kakashi nodded, looking at Might Guy seriously.
"I don't understand ninjutsu talent, and I've never taught them that, but Genya said they took up taijutsu because their ninjutsu talent wasn't good!" Might Guy first shook his head, dismissing Genya and the Senju siblings' ninjutsu talent, then continued, "As for their talent in taijutsu…"
At this point, Might Guy paused, which made Kakashi's breathing slow a little as well.

"Winning? Maybe..." Kakashi murmured, his eyes gleaming as he spoke. Not to mention Genya, just a while ago he had faced off against Senju Hikari, and the fight was overwhelming. For such a young age, Hikari already possessed power comparable to his own.
Though Kakashi had held back during their battle, it was clear from Hikari's composed fighting style that Hikari had also held something back.
"Zzzzz. Is the sun rising in the west?" Might Guy was stunned upon hearing Kakashi admit that he might lose. "Are you sick? You seem off, admitting defeat so easily!"
In the past, Kakashi would never admit defeat so readily.
"It's normal for seniors to lose to juniors. The ninja world has always had talented individuals. We should be proud of our juniors' strength!" Kakashi quickly found an excuse and managed to smooth things over with Might Guy.
However, Kakashi wasn't done with the topic. He continued, "Guy, do you think Senju Hikari and Senju Hayashi, both from the Senju clan and sharing the same bloodline as the First Hokage, could also awaken Wood Release?"
He asked this question because he wanted to know whether Guy understood the true abilities and potential of the Senju siblings.
"Hayashi, and Hikari could awaken Wood Release?" Might Guy shook his head decisively at Kakashi's words. "Heh... Wood Release is such a powerful ninjutsu. If Hikari and the others could use it, why would they still be training so hard in taijutsu?"
In Might Guy's eyes, only ninjas lacking talent in ninjutsu would need to focus on taijutsu training—no one else would need to.
"You don't know either?" Kakashi murmured softly. Now, he could be sure that Might Guy didn't know that the Senju siblings had awakened Wood Release.
But one thought lingered in Kakashi's mind. "If they have great talent in ninjutsu, why would they still train taijutsu?"

"Well, can I join you guys in training tomorrow morning?" Kakashi asked again.
"We have a mission tomorrow, but there's still time for training in the morning. You're so eager? Want to see the talent of my students?"
Might Guy counted on his fingers, seemingly understanding Kakashi's plan, then he nodded and said, "Alright, tomorrow I'll let you see the abilities of my students, so you can give up on that idea."
