Chapter 6 - The Red Dawn Protocol

The waves churned violently as I followed close behind Mom, my massive frame dragging wakes that dwarfed the ships trying to shadow us. The ocean trembled under our weight, and for a moment, the world seemed to hold its breath. Behind us, the smoldering wreckage of New York was still fresh — the remains of the MUTO nest crumbled, radioactive spores dissipating slowly in the stratosphere. Mom didn't speak. She didn't need to. Her body language said enough — tension in every movement, protectiveness with every backward glance.

I was tired. Drained. But something else simmered underneath the exhaustion. Something deep. Something **older**.

From the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, Nick Fury watched our retreat silently, his eye narrowed, hands behind his back.

**Fury:** "Update me. What's the situation?"

**Maria Hill (via comm):** "The kaiju designated 'Red Death' and its mother—Amaterasu—are heading westward. Radiation signatures suggest the juvenile expended nearly all its energy in the last engagement. Satellites show a path straight toward the Pacific again. They're not looking for a fight."

**Fury:** "Too bad the world's gonna give them one anyway. Prepare Red Dawn Protocol. Full multiverse-capable alert. And someone tell Stark to stop trying to fly into their mouths with a nuke."

---

**Elsewhere – Hall of Justice**

**Batman:** "You saw what it did in New York."

**Superman:** "It saved lives, Bruce. That blast—it was aimed away from civilians."

**Wonder Woman:** "It's still a child. But a powerful one. And power unchecked is dangerous."

**Cyborg:** "I pulled heatmaps from the energy spike. That wasn't just a beam. That was a *signature*. An alpha call. It's establishing dominance. Sending a message."

**Batman:** "Exactly. And who is that message for?"

---

**Back in the Pacific – Beneath the Surface**

The darkness of the ocean soothed my overheated body. My mother swam ahead of me, eyes glowing faintly in the abyss. Her bioluminescent patterns pulsed softly in the cold waters, guiding me.

We swam deeper until the trench opened beneath us. A vast cavern system, glowing faintly from dormant reactors buried deep from an age lost to time. The water shimmered red from my fins, pulsing with fading energy. I collapsed against the seabed, breathing slow, steady. Rest. I needed to rest.

But I *dreamed*.

Fire. Dust. Skies ripped open.

A shadow\... not like the MUTOs. Something older. Something *bigger*. With wings like a storm and a scream that cracked continents. A name vibrated through the void:

**Gidrah… Ghidorah.**

I jolted awake underwater. My mother was staring at me.

**Amaterasu:** "You heard him, didn't you?"

I nodded slowly, trembling.

**Amaterasu:** "He's stirring again. But not here. Not in this world. Another rift."

The water around us shimmered. A dimensional rift, small but unstable, formed above the trench, blue lightning dancing across its perimeter.

---

**In a Secret Vault – Wakanda**

**Shuri:** "The rift's radiation is identical to the readings from the Titan War five years ago. Only one creature left a trace like that."

**Black Panther (T'Challa's successor):** "Do we get involved?"

**Shuri:** "We may not have a choice. If the rift breaks fully, we'll have more than one Godzilla."

---

**Meanwhile – S.T.A.R. Labs**

**Flash:** "I just ran to Tokyo and back. There's a *third* kaiju surfacing."

**Caitlin:** "Not a Godzilla?"

**Flash:** "No… something *angrier*."

---

**Narration – Me (Red Death)**

The world isn't ready.

They think we're monsters.

They haven't seen *true terror* yet.

I'll fight for them.

But I'm not doing it to protect humans.

I'm doing it to protect my mother.

To protect my kind.

To protect *our world* from what's coming.

Because Ghidorah wasn't the only one we locked away.

And I think…

He's waking up the others.
