Two days passed and the sound of Liselotte's pained screams grew quieter.
Her mind had detached into a state of extreme shock that, as the hours passed, grew accustomed to the persistent and relentless mutilations. And all the while Ren continued his experiments into the healing capabilities of a vampire's constitution with cold and methodical aloofness.
He had prepared blood to continuously revive her from the edge of turning, after which he would cut another piece of her face, or flay a portion of her skin. When the blood loss and consistent need to heal brought her back to the point of starvation, the cycle would begin again.
'Kill me...just kill me...I just want to die...I want this to end...' Liselotte thought, her mind clouded with exhaustion and agony.
