"If there's no secret passage, then we'll have to make one ourselves."
Upon hearing He Kui's words, Murakumo Gai was momentarily stunned.
"Hold this position, and we'll find a way to escape."
After speaking, He Kui took the initiative to close the steel door, effectively blocking the reinforcements that had just arrived outside.
The situation outside was also far from optimistic. The Forbidden, controlled by He Kui, and the Calamity, piloted by Shihe, had both sustained varying degrees of damage.
Even one side of the Forbidden's shield had been severed by Creuset, and the other arm was already gone.
The Calamity's leg had been nearly completely cut off.
Facing two Elite Red Coats and Creuset, if it weren't for the Dagger series Mobile Suits around them being hesitant to interfere due to the nuclear reactor, He Kui would have been turned into a porcupine by now.
Gradually, both Shihe and He Kui abandoned the idea of defending underground. Activating their thrusters, they emerged onto the surface amidst the chaos.
However, their situation didn't improve upon reaching the surface; if anything, the attacks became even more intense.
Even the steel door underground was on the verge of being breached by physical means.
"The shooting angle has been calculated. Firing from this angle will directly open a hole in the prisoner area."
As the situation grew increasingly dire, Sulei transmitted an image to both Shihe and He Kui.
After seeing the data before them, He Kui and Shihe exchanged a glance, silently transferring control. The Calamity's shoulder-mounted Beam Rifles then "accidentally" fired towards the base's floor not far away during the battle.
After several consecutive shots from the Beam Rifles, a hole was opened diagonally above the prisoner area, allowing sunlight to pour into the hundred-meter-deep underground space.
"What are they doing?"
Creuset noticed the direction of the Calamity's shots and the figures guarding the hole, narrowing his eyes.
Then, as if realizing something, he chuckled.
"Director He, your computational skills are impressive. You figured out that firing angle so quickly."
Under normal circumstances, firing a Beam Rifle at the ground could easily cause collateral damage or even a collapse, especially with their command center inside. Naturally, they wouldn't risk it, but He Kui had found a loophole.
However, by doing this, He Kui had also exposed his position.
With a cold smile, Creuset, in flight mode, dove towards them. First, he disrupted the Forbidden's shield defense with a weapon called Mjolnir's Crushing Ball, then fired his cannon towards the hole, causing another explosion.
"It's over."
Looking at the completely collapsed hole, Creuset's words were barely out when he noticed that the two Mobile Suits showed no signs of stopping.
"Looks like it's not over yet."
He Kui's voice echoed faintly.
Then, the two Mobile Suits ceased damage control and instead charged recklessly towards the command center.
"Wait... Did he never intend to rescue anyone, so the Aegis's main body is still inside the Mobile Suit?"
"Or is there another trick?"
Creuset was momentarily baffled by He Kui's unconventional tactics.
He Kui didn't give Creuset time to hesitate. Under the attacks of numerous Dagger series and Raider Mobile Suits, the two Mobile Suits gradually lost their limbs.
Watching this scene, many soldiers couldn't contain their excitement.
"It was me! I took out the leg!"
"I destroyed the backpack!"
"Looks pretty weak, huh."
"Alright, surrender now, you vile Coordinator. How could an unnatural freak like you ever defeat us Naturals?"
The chat room was filled with cheerful banter, while Creuset silently began controlling the Raider to ascend into the sky.
Soon, accompanied by two deafening roars, the electromagnetic pulse interference completely severed the already weak communication. The intense flames and shockwaves tore through the surrounding metal structures.
The flames soared into the sky, dyeing the seawater a deep crimson. As two small mushroom clouds rose, the dust from the explosion began to gradually envelop the sky.
Metal twisted, concrete shattered, and the wreckage of two Mobile Suits, riddled with scars, turned to ash amidst the flames. Fear thoroughly seeped into the hearts of everyone in the base.
Meanwhile, on the other side, a Dagger series Mobile Suit was crouching awkwardly near the damaged elevator, seemingly startled by the nuclear explosion outside.
"Using the passage to draw attention, while actually using the enemy to eliminate the pursuers blocking the door—it's a high-risk move."
Inside the cramped cockpit, the three of them were squeezed together, with Murakumo Gai's posture forming a zigzag shape, looking rather peculiar.
In stark contrast to his cold expression, it gave off a somewhat contrasting cuteness vibe.
"Yeah, but we succeeded."
It was indeed a close call. Creuset thought he was going to manually open a passage, but the direction he struck actually deviated from them. Creuset appeared to be attacking them, but in reality, he was targeting the pursuers chasing the two of them. Thanks to precise calculations, they weren't heavily affected.
Even someone as strong as Creuset couldn't quickly figure out who was beneath the thick layer of soil.
Then, while the two Mobile Suits drew most of the attention, He Kui led Murakumo Gai back to the elevator exit, taking advantage of the electromagnetic interference from the nuclear explosion to successfully seize a Mobile Suit.
It seemed smooth, but it required immense skill to pull off.
"What now?"
Murakumo Gai asked.
The nuclear explosion wasn't large, and communication had already been restored. They couldn't just stay in this Mobile Suit forever.
But if they tried to escape, with so many Raiders watching, how could they possibly outrun something that flies?
"It should be about time."
He Kui didn't answer directly, just glanced at the time and spoke.
"What?"
Before Murakumo Gai could ask, alarms blared throughout the base once more.
"Attention all personnel, attention all personnel! A large-scale intruder has been detected 20 kilometers northeast of the port. The signal has been confirmed as thirty-two Zocks! Repeat, intruders detected. All personnel, execute Defense Plan Two immediately."
"You have that many people?!"
Hearing the announcement, Murakumo Gai looked at He Kui in shock.
That's thirty-two Zocks, equivalent to a full-fledged underwater MS unit of a regular army.
"No, they're decoys."
Fortunately, he had brought down the balloon decoys this time. Before the attack, he had stuffed them into nearby rock crevices. Although they couldn't be remotely controlled, they would automatically trigger after exceeding the set time limit.
Thinking that if things didn't go smoothly, there would still be another opportunity, and indeed, it has now come into play.
"We can't deceive them for long, let's act now."
With that, He Kui pretended that his Mobile Suit had been damaged and came to a halt.
Taking advantage of the confusion caused by the news, they quickly changed into military uniforms, exited the Mobile Suit, and rushed towards a nearby breach. At the same time, to avoid drawing attention, the Dagger series Mobile Suit, controlled by Little Bird, slowly moved towards the front line.
Of course, He Kui wasn't controlling it; he had entirely handed it over to Little Bird's AI. If anyone tried to contact it, the Mobile Suit would self-destruct.
